The Dynasty - Jeffrey Wesley Landmon
Intro:
It was their honeymoon. They were both barely 25 years old; each equally naive in their own way. Both believed in God - even if for different reasons.
She was a hell-fire-preacher's daughter, sheltered by the church her whole life. He was a wealthy yet kindhearted young man. He came from old money, had never really worked a day in his life, and spent most of his time fishing on his yacht. A free spirit, one might say. She knew the teachings of Christ well, where as he was an occasional Sunday church bench-warmer – and it had been years since he had even done that.
They were madly in love, yet had only known each other for 2 weeks before they got married.
She had run off with him against her parents wishes.
Shortly after the marriage proposal, he had found a man afloat on a piece of cedar wood in the ocean, near dead, and he had nursed him back to health. The man, who called himself Morton, was an amazing magician and illusionist. In return for the kindness, Morton showed him a beautiful underwater cave; where he decided to spend his honeymoon with his new bride.
It would be a night they'd never forget.
But not for the usual reasons....

This story is dedicated to my friend - that I refer to as Orange Belly.
A virtuous woman of God, who has comforted me during my lows, and shared with me in my moments of triumph. She is a wonderful encourager, and always
