About this ebook
The vacuum cleaner sitting in the middle of the living room means Christine cleaned the house. Therefore, no vacuum clearly means no cleaning.
This appears to be Christine's husband's logic.
So she'll always leave proof of the day's householding tasks in strategic spots, and harvest the praise for a job well done.
Most of the time, her husband's blind spot makes her seethe—except when it gives her the freedom she needs to take care of business.
R.W. Wallace
R.W. Wallace writes in most genres, though she tends to end up in mystery more often than not. Dead bodies keep popping up all over the place whenever she sits down in front of her keyboard. The stories mostly take place in Norway or France; the country she was born in and the one that has been her home for two decades. Don't ask her why she writes in English - she won't have a sensible answer for you. Her Ghost Detective short story series appears in Pulphouse Magazine, starting in issue #9. You can find all her books, long and short, on rwwallace.com.

Gérard Blanc walked through the door at five to seven, while Christine Blanc sat curled up in the corner of the couch, reading a mystery novel. She’d sat there for exactly twenty minutes, grabbing her daily dose of time for herself.
The house was tidy and clean, the fridge was full of groceries, her son had finished his homework and was currently drowning himself in music in his room, and the trash cans were already on the sidewalk, ready for tomorrow morning. She deserved some time-out with a funny detective and gritty murders.
Tomorrow she’d be back at work, with everyone asking her how her second weekend
had been. Always said with a wink and a laugh, because everybody knew that the moms taking Wednesdays off didn’t do it to slack off, but it hurt—just a little—nonetheless. Her son Louis might be fifteen, so he didn’t exactly need her to take him to the park anymore—though she did drive him to soccer practice in the afternoon—but there was still a ton of stuff to do. And since
