Trent Rose received his PhD in political science and his MPA from Idaho State University. His dissertation was titled Measuring Civic Engagement in Idaho Falls.
He earned his BS in political science from Utah State University. Rose is a professor of political science at Brigham Young University-Idaho, where he also serves as the section head for political science in the Department of History, Geography, and Political Science. In this role, he advises many students and oversees all required internships in the major. His current research interests include new urbanism, Main Street development, and various topics related to international
