Deep Matter - Sean L. Kirkland
Chapter 1
Human beings will always be just that, human beings. Imperfect ambitious and most of all ruthless and self- serving. Humans didn't change when deep space travel became a reality. There is no peaceful Utopia.
There is no give. There is only more take now. American scientist invented the fabric engine in the year 2150.
In the 200 years since there has been more war, more misunderstandings, and more senseless death.
Nations around the world vied for sole and solitary possession of the fabric engine technology.
This innovation allowed a star vessel to bend the fabric of space-time and appear light years away in mere months. This technology led to the discovery of other planets able to sustain human life. Which in itself brought about more chaos.
The question remained. Which countries should control or be able to claim these uncharted worlds we were now able to reach?
Humankind achieved a treaty of nations in 2200ad. Giving the power and control of the engine to a United Nations of sorts called The Stellaratti.
A scientific and military organization that set out to colonize other worlds and moons. First Contact was September 10, 2280. By accident, when a Stellaratti ship called the Amerigo crash-landed on a planet in the Demeter sector called Burfalon.
The beings there were small in stature, but Humanoid in form. Three feet tall, stocky & muscular they had bluish skin. Curiously they had four ears protruding from the shocks of purple hair covering their heads.
(The Burfalon were known to listen twice as much more than other species.) Six fingers six toes. And they are also considered to be the most intelligent and kind hearted creatures in the galaxy.
The Burfalons repaired the crashed Stellaratti ship and sent the crew home. Soon after. They would visit earth on an alien humanitarian
mission. To help us wipe out deadly viruses and diseases.
They were welcomed on Earth but soon left. But only after imparting some valuable & essential information on the galaxy they shared. Such as: What planets to never visit. How to combat the solar wind. And the perils of fabric bending space-time. Though the Burfalon generally liked Earth People. They were shocked that we had advanced so far in technology but were yet to be a peaceful world.
Our next contact with alien life was on the planet Mars. Though we'd already learned whatever life that existed on Mars had been extinct for about 65 million years the same asteroid that killed the dinosaurs brought friends and destroyed all life on Mars as well. As far as we knew.
During a mineral drilling mission. The Martian Outposts got attacked. Led by an alien race called the Watudamu.
The Martian Humanoids are a bit larger than earthlings and more ruthless. They ranged anywhere from 7-10 ft tall, Muscular with dark skin like Africans. Except for them all being giants, you couldn't tell them apart from regular Earth people.
They destroyed our colony and murdered the crew then colonized Mars for their own. They use it for slave labor by mining raw diamonds. We've tried several missions to retake the planet, but as far as space warfare the Watudamu is almost unmatched. Almost.
The only known space race argued to be crazy or high strong enough to give the Watu a run for their money is the Slavenhan. These mean bastards are from just passed the Oort cloud from the planet Vyeo, which orbits our sister star. The red dwarf Nemesis. And these guys are just about the meanest son's of b*tches in the whole frigging galaxy.
Humanoid bodies with wings and three-pronged claws for
