About this ebook
Jim is a master at building relationships. Charming, funny, and a great listener, his success in life and business was based on his ability to connect with others, from people recovering in 12-step groups in Upstate New York to those living in the rarified air of Martha’s Vineyard. But after more than twenty years sober, one slip-up triggered an active addiction that threatened his relationships with his then-wife, singer-songwriter Carly Simon, his recovery friends, his severely disabled son, and even with himself as he began to confront his sexuality.
With profound clarity and thoughtful language, Jim weaves together the beautiful and all-too-often heartbreaking events of his life into an inspiring tale of bravery, healing, and above all, love.

Reviews for Lucky Jim

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5What a sad story. An abused boy who needed more than anything real goals in life, maybe a down to earth wife. Instead he is sent to crazy seminary boarding school where they fill his head with foolishness, and marries a frivolous woman with ironically, vain friends in an artificial environment. No wonder he sinks into addiction and vice. So sad!
