Mona Clemens

Mona is a Chicago native, born in the "Little Italy" neighborhood. She currently resides in Green Garden, which is a suburb of Chicago, with her significant other and her Havanese dog Bella. Mona had her two daughters in the 1960's. When her girls were growing up she made up the story of Zoink one Christmas while telling them a bedtime story. Every Christmas her girls would beg her to tell it again and again. Submitting Zoink for publication was not even a thought until Mona beat the odds of lung cancer not once, but twice. She decided that she would go forward and try and have the book published. She is currently working on a sequel.
