About this ebook

Mr. Roach spoke in a gentle way that removed the cold reception Juana found in the incidents news section.
- I will tell you what we know about this incident. Last Tuesday, 4th June, Mr. Sam Kingston, the former prisoner, stood in the playground opposite Leyland residential complex delivering a speech to the passerby who surrounded him. This is the fourth time he delivered a speech in this desperate manner about what he claims that the government does not listen to his complaint against his former company (Harvey & Partners for Energy). According to eyewitnesses who attend his speech and his killing, Mr. Kingston continued talking about revealing recurrent plagiarism in the company of (Harvey & Partners for Energy) and how the presidents of the company were spying on the competitive companies by bribing their employees to pass the information and researches to them. While he was angrily talking, the people heard shooting from upper stories of the residential complex.

    M r.

Huntington has kept looking to the papers in front of him when he hears slight knocks on his office`s door. He mentioned only one phrase; something indicates that he is very busy in his work:

    - come in

A girl, with a noticeable cheer in her wide eyes, gets into the room.

    - Good morning sir, I am Juana

It has been a complete silence for moments before Mr. Huntington looked up and asked:

    - Should I presumably know you little girl?

    The girl murmured:

    - Sorry sir, it seems that Mr. Beret has forgotten to…….

-Oh… yes, you are the new trainee journalist

    - Well sir, not really new unless I am compared to the senior journalists like you sir.

Mr. Huntington said that and kept busy again with the papers in front of him.

Juana sat on sofa that looks antique, ancient and remarkably wonderful, looking round the spacious office with harmonious painting colours and Turkish decoration at the front of the office. About five minutes passed before Mr. Huntington whispered:

    - Killed by a priest… What a strange incident!

Juana thought that he was talking to her, so she replied:

    - It seems that people have nothing to talk about these days except this strange incident.

Two minutes passed before Mr. Huntington put aside the papers in front of him, saying to Juana:

    - You said that your name is Juana, right?

    - Yes sir

    - Am I correct to refer this name to Persian roots?

    - Lebanese sir, I am a daughter of an American national from Lebanese roots, however unfortunately I haven`t seen the homeland of my grandfathers since I was born in Kansas.

    - In fact I used to participate in students’ newspaper; I even published a complete article in the Inquirer newspaper when I was 14 years old.

    - Ok, you will start with us in the archives section.

Juana’s face went red of sadness when she addressed Mr. Huntington:

    - Sir, I have a potential that does not suit the archive quietness; I aspire at joining the incidents section.

Mr. Huntington listens with his mouth dropping open to the great courage of the young girl.

    - My little girl, it doesn`t seem that the article in the Enquire newspaper was published more than two or three years, and you are saying that you want to work for incidents news section. Do you know what does incidents news section mean?

    - Of course sir, I know it is not a picnic or a childish experience. Moreover, you have underestimated my age by seven years. I celebrated my 24th birthday one month ago.

    - Congratulations for your birthday, but in fact your age is not the only factor to determine your ability to work in the incidents news section. There are the factors of experience and the ability to work under hard times and pressure. No…No… I can`t take the risk of letting you go to this tiring world.

    - Let us make the first month in the incidents news section a probationary period, then you can assess my performance to see if it suits the section or not.

Mr. Huntington paused for a moment then pressed
