From Primary school I moved to the junior secondary where I began to appreciate the works of poetry and had an increase improvement on my reading, later in high school I wrote my first seven lines poem but did not know I can go much more further until now am putting A and B together to see the effect that may come out. Thanks to all those I have ever met as I keep journeying through life on this rocklike surface called Earth where life thrives,….oh what a king of magic.

    CHAPTER ONE

Under the huge mango tree lays the half broken wooden bench well constructed twelve years ago and due to exposed high temperature and humidity is begging for attention for some years now as others like Cyril and Lydia perched on the other half holding and massaging each other in the early part of the morning almost half naked. Her sleeves drop far below the quarter of her chest exhibiting the transparent plastic bra and well-oiled body which touches an equal well-formed masculine chest filled with strength and bursting with pressure and the treasures of love.

Cyril sits as her lady comfortably locates herself unto his man closed laps; come on baby talk to me as if time is all ours, say something to assure me am the one and only for your life is yours. She replied I am all yours and may you be mine for ever cause it to happen that no one snatched me away for a second, come to my aid anytime in the day and night and equally say my name even in your dreams of all the sleep and be fast for worries are controlled with time. Come home and come whole by laying down your intention clear just by my bed tomorrow after which I will wash clean all your troubles and pains of work with my love kept for you for years now under the brewing instructions by my mother, just come clear for time is far spent and there’s little remaining for us to talk about our engagement. Please marry me for am close and waiting for only you. Well, if so then I see says Cyril. He held her tight and drew her close to the chest as if sucking all the love and pleasure stored in her and gave her a kiss at the forehead after which concluded by saying Time will tell.

They now break free only to notice how the red ants are feeding on their bare feet especially Lydia’s right leg sprayed with droplet of blood. Her man suddenly dropped down to handle that as it’s his call to duty by attending to her before himself. The azure bright plastic basket sitting on the half dried and fallen leaves kept announcing its presence, Lydia now freely gave the basket full filled with the mornings breakfast to her man and said am off and please take good care of yourself and slowly dashed into the nearby tall grasses by the Tennis lawn court. He sat down once again after landing the basket unto the dry packed leave and with his head facing and looking at the Police post far across the road as people enters and leaves after reporting a case or another, he could not keep up with what the damsel said before she left. Our engagement, what’s so special about you that I should engage you?, was what he keeps saying slowly and silently it’s too early to conclude on that, fetched the basket and left.

He reached for the mopped bucket, the mop stick and the towel to execute the job assign to him by management form the consulting room which by now has under gone broom sticks before turning on the cool air, the next is the waiting room for patients which the sweeping is almost half way clean. He went on to tackle the louvers with the same towel one by one from each side of the room and opening them for enough atmospheric air only to hear good morning from the first Nurse who entered which he responded and left the room. The young able nurse in her early twenties dropped her bag and began cleaning the very louvers Cyril worked on followed by laying the only bed kept for patients who can’t walk to see the Doctor. Someday past at about half past five after noon, she yelled at Cyril, hey you don’t you know that by drawing the table on the floor the glass thermometer will break? Didn’t you go to school to know all that or which of the schools did you study at? Cyril responded, is that how to speak to a co-worker? The damsel brushes him off and fetched the thermometer as she moves towards the Matrons Office. He followed her till each party appeared before the Matron to explain a point which all went well except that Cyril who feels he has been well insulted by Cynthia the tall nurse in charge of the waiting room. Please Matron, please Matron listen to me; she is telling me I did not go to school, and it quiet mean I don’t know anything I just want to tell her… Cynthia said please I did not say that; what I said is didn’t you go to school?

Matrons asked that all should be forgotten and turn on a new leave then all went away as she turn to the general time table for the Clinic to schedule all activities for the next two week including the coming National holiday. She entered the male day care ward where the Senior nurse sits; opened the cotton wool box and slot in her used gloves as if her morning worries were caused by it, again she turned on the four white ceiling fans as high as it can be with her two hands firmly holding her waist perhaps in protest of what happed. Forgetting her self-kicked one of the chamber pots deep down one of the beds and saying to herself, am I the one who asked you not to attend school or am I the one who prevented you from acquiring knowledge to better yourself? For all that you know is how to woo ladies to warm your night bed, and equally some whose beauty is nothing other than a plastic surgery gone too far.

As nurses slide inn; into their various duty post in the early hours of the morning from the counter at the all patient department to the outpatient department not forgetting the general wards of the clinic, she surfaced as the last but one person who for now the senior nurse including the matron herself can’t control. Catherine, the tall dark complexion nurse arrived and walks through the door way of the ward. She came out from the new American model ash Toyota Camry which is the latest in town driven by a middle aged man who none have seen before at the clinic, just like two days ago where a nice black car came to pick her after work at about half past four with the sticker in front of the wind screen bearing that of the parliamentarians in the upper house. Her usual saying is ‘Level up with me if you can", the only person who the Resident Doctor could not query for her absence to duty two weeks ago. Catherine called to Cynthia and said, good morning girl and how are you? The response was very weak as Cynthia’s voice began to quiver in response to narrate what has just passed.
