    DEDICATION

To my wife and daughter: I thank you for your love and support. Each day you are my starters.

For my dad, whose unfailing love for me and ever-changing love for the game of golf inspired me to write this collection.

To my very best friend, Rod: through birdies and bogies you have been like a brother to me. If we could only do something about your putting. Just kidding, Rod!

To the men and women of Tanglewood Golf Course, in Milton; Stonebrook Golf Club, in Pace; Travis Air Force Base’s Cypress Lakes; Eglin Air Force Base’s Eagle and Falcon; Rheinblick and Bitburgerland, in Germany; Kadena Air Base’s Banyan Tree Golf Course; and to everyone I have played this amazing game with in between: each of you has shaped my life and taught me How to Live One Golf Swing at a Time.

    PREFACE

WELCOME TO MY COURSE. I am very excited to unveil a new design for you in the pages ahead. This course will challenge every player who dares tee it up. The holes on this course are ever changing. As the course architect, I am always willing to tweak my work, and I’ve been threatening a grand redesign for years. It’s not so much that I regret all this handiwork but just that, like most people, I have a memory that artistically touches up the past, and the future is always a blank page.

This course is played out in the daily walk of life. I could probably build a few courses for us to play with all of the life-imitates-golf lessons available to us, but I will only lay one course before you
