About this ebook

The Naked leftist: A Conservative's Perspective to Understanding Liberals & Socialists delivers legitimate sentiments from a common man; a politically incorrect philosophical enlightenment, a conservative self-help book. As the title suggests, this nonfiction/political science exposition explains and proves with evidence the conviction, the questionable motivation and tactics of a virtuous leftist.

Within this 390-page composition, The Naked leftist includes 748 footnotes, to which many readers have described as an encyclopedia.

Politics surrounds us; some acknowledge it, others don't. Randy discusses how leftism affects North American politics and culture. What Randy perceived and experienced was neither understood nor shared by many conservatives.

Randy exposes the reasoning and the behavior of a virtuous North American leftist. His perception allows freedom minded individuals to understand the leftist doublespeak, the exploits of leftist proletarian warriors, and suggests how one can effectively combat the bankrupt leftist arguments.

Although The Naked leftist was published before COVID-19, much of the information presented within The Naked leftist applies to the policies and abuses we've faced since January 2020.

This book is a necessity to cultivate and strengthen a conservative or libertarian's knowledge.

NOTES

The Naked leftist

It said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.

- Sun Tzu

Liberalism and capitalism address themselves to the cool, well-balanced mind. They proceed by strict logic, eliminating any appeal to the emotions. Socialism, on the contrary, works on the emotions, tries to violate logical considerations by rousing a sense of personal interest and to stifle the voice of reason by awakening primitive instincts.

- Ludwig Von Mises, American Austrian economist

We’ll spoon feed you socialism until you’re Communists and don’t even know it! … We assist your elected leaders in giving Americans small doses of Socialism, until they suddenly awake to find they have Communism. Maybe not you, but at all events the day will come when your children and your grandchildren will surely live under communism!

- Soviet Prime Minister Nikita Khrushchev

Every socialist is a disguised dictator.

- Ludwig Von Mises

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

This monumental task could not have been completed without the likes of a few individuals who I wish to thank. Each of you sparked pages and pages of writing. For I needed to share with others what you solidified in me from listening or reading your great works.

Rush Limbaugh – conservative political commentator and most notably America’s most listened to radio talk show host. He currently resides in Palm Beach, Florida, where he broadcasts from his golden EIB microphone with the The Rush Limbaugh Show. Rush has a cumulative listening audience of 13.25 million people.

Andrew Wilkow - is the next generation conservative political talk radio host for the Wilkow Majority on the Sirius XM Patriot channel on SIRIUS channel 125 and XM channel 125. Andrew’s facts concerning the constitution cannot be unbroken.

John Gormley - is a Canadian radio talk show host, lawyer and best-selling author. John can be heard weekday mornings on Rawlco Radio’s News Talk 650 CKOM in Saskatoon and News Talk 980 CJME in Regina. John, in my opinion undoubtedly Saskatchewan’s and if not Canada’s premier talk show host.

Glenn Beck - is an American talk show host, political commentator, and producer. He is the CEO, founder, and owner of Mercury Radio Arts, the parent company of his television and radio network The Blaze. Glenn, with his co-hosts, Pat, Stu and Jeffy truly make an entertaining radio show.

Peter Schiff - is an American investment broker, investor, author, financial commentator, and radio personality. He is CEO and chief global strategist of Euro Pacific Capital Inc., a broker-dealer based in Westport, Connecticut. He is founder of Euro Pacific Canada Inc., a Canadian registered global brokerage firm headquartered in Toronto, with offices in Burlington, Ontario; Montreal; Vancouver; and Tokyo. His books are a must read for he succinctly explains economic and public policy.

Robert P. Murphy – his twitter account describes him best: Christian, Austrian economist, and libertarian theorist. Research Prof at Texas Tech and author of *Choice*. Paul Krugman’s worst nightmare.

Gary North - is an American Christian Reconstructionist theorist, libertarian writer, and economic historian. North has authored or coauthored over fifty books on topics including Christian theology, economics, and history. He is an Associated Scholar of the Ludwig von Mises Institute. He is known for his advocacy of Biblically-influenced economics and also for his support for theocracy. Gary supports the establishment of religious law.

Suzanne Paschall - is an author, Owner/coach of FreshVoice. Her talents are immeasurable, I have truly enjoyed the editing process with her, kudos.

Lastly, my friends and of course my beloved family. Each of you have shared so much to help create and finish this project.

To all of you I take my cap off to you.

INTRODUCTION

When you possess something, anything, others require (or desire), but you alone control, you make them dependent upon you and therefore, you gain power over them. Simply, the dumber the people, the easier they are to own. The more you expand your horizons (increasing your options) by learning and demonstrating independence, self-reliance and personal initiative, the less power you relinquish to the hands of the nefarious. Financial dependence (as read in the Communist and Regina Manifesto) is the leading idealistic example facilitating empowerment over you.

The most deliberate, willful means of relinquishing your control is suffering a lack of knowledge, relying on and allowing feelings to win over logic, facts, and rational thought. Truth is not relative. Feelings or opinions and factual truth can be opposites. I am not saying that conservatives must be, or are, cold or heartless. There is a distinct difference between compassion and idiocy. Compassion, a basic human necessity, can be a weakness of humankind that will be exploited by the left.

When a conservative argues with a leftist (as we must), I believe knowing more than the others in the room protects us from being taken advantage of. You must educate yourself; read, observe, learn, understand the issues and their consequences. You should simulate debates, prepare accurate rebuttals for potential leftist questions and responses. Researching more than anyone else enables you to create and preserve your sanity and may prevent redistribution of your wealth.

This project began life excoriating socialists, but there are far too many liberals and so-called conservatives that are indistinguishable from socialists. Socialists, Liberals, Progressives, Marxists—they are the same, they are all leftists. They are driven by their religion. In this chapter I generalize facts and realities regarding leftists. In subsequent chapters I break down what identifies a leftist, how they speak and the methods they use to sway voters and public opinion while offering proof of my observations. You can apply this knowledge to any leftist throughout the world.

I define a leftist as anyone left of myself; I realize many of you as readers do not self-identify as a strong conservative like myself. This does not matter, for the modest proofs supporting my personal observation elicited within succeeding chapters apply to anyone left of oneself. For those of you struggling to understand leftists, your view may be like mine but in any case, a leftist can be defined as any mainstream socialist, Communist, Marxist sympathizer. Many may consider themselves as liberal and in part or in whole fall under this definition. Unfortunately, I find most liberals today are undistinguishable from Marxists. Sadly, I find many who call themselves conservative are more socialist than conservative. Your leftist list will not be limited to mainstream media, nor Hollywood and other entertainers, nor politicians… for many of your friends, relatives, neighbors can be classified as leftist if they exude any or all the points, I mention within these pages. This begs the question concerning these conservatives, liberals; have they been brainwashed, cajoled under political correctness or does it come naturally? If it comes naturally I see no hope in re-education or enlightenment.

Our North American founders and ancestors were rugged, individualistic, self-reliant. Times have certainly, categorically, changed. Our modern North American society has become a selfish, self-indulgent, wimpified collective.

Day after day, year after year, election after election, leftists’ methods become familiar. Rarely subtle, always nefarious and subversive, a leftist attacks identifiable human targets with unsubstantiated accusations (demonizing); using arguments that lack fact or substance, or inciting emotions of envy, resentment, compassion, distrust and fear. They continuously charge that conservatives are self-centered, uncaring, divisive, inhuman to anyone else but themselves. Essentially, they paint conservatives as a heartless group of rich, white men. Try that on Herman Cain or Ben Carson. Even Malcom X, Martin Luther King and Jimi Hendrix were reportedly Republican.

Believing themselves to be social redeemers, leftists treat conservatives as mortal enemies. Their vile, limitless hatred for conservatives displays no boundaries. Conservatives are evil demons requiring eradication at all costs. The left proclaims, conservatives prevent us from attaining or progressing to our utopian dream. The leftist dreams of a brave new world, of social engineering…transformation of the way you, all of us, live and even think.

It is no dream, it is now an endless living nightmare as our nations now realize a concerted subversive effort to inflict leftism upon us all.

The leftists’ weak and detestable intolerance of behaviors and opinions that differ from their own becomes so strong it can evoke violent, eruptive demonstrations against conservatism. Those are the true radicals—by the leftist definition conservatives are not radicals. We witnessed much of this intolerance on news broadcasts from the 1960s through the ’70s. Anti-war demonstrations for peace were hardly peaceful. During the 1990s we witnessed intolerance during demonstrations throughout the Oka crisis in Ontario and from anti-fracking Canadian native groups. Anti-fracking native groups are not environmentalists; I have seen first-hand how our First Nations are not stewards of the lands. The leftist civil disobedience continues today with Occupy Wall Street and the violence within cities like Ferguson, Baltimore and Milwaukee. Those enlightening demonstrations have more to do with leftism’s greedy capitalistic wants than being a cause for Black Lives Matter or even the green movement to save Mother Earth for her children.

The leftist’s vision of what it means to be conservative is out of focus. The leftist feels they know everything there is to know about conservatives, but this this enduring perception is based on falsehoods and anecdotal conversation with other leftists rather than on actual engagement with conservatives.

Tactics of engagement

Because leftists have an overwhelming emotional bias, their reactions can be irrational. Anger and violence are tools used to confront their enemies (conservatives), which is contrary to the facade of tolerance, acceptance and love of all they present. So, when confronted by an angry leftist, neutralize them, place them on the defensive, counter-attack. Expose them for who they really are. Rather than being reactionary or defensive, conservatives must attack leftism with the left’s Alinsky tactics. (This will be discussed more fully in the opening chapter.)

Short on facts, truth or even rational thought, leftists will nimbly resort to unsubstantiated personal attacks, sometimes physical, but always with the goal of demonizing an opposer’s character. Upon sensing their own defeat, we are likely to be branded as a redneck, right wing, Fascist, racist, homophobic, xenophobic, Nazi, or terrorist. Another maneuver or tactic (which can be used in tandem with others), is the leftist I can’t believe it’s true laugh. That little chuckle reveals a desperate effort to convince anyone listening that the speaker is alone in his beliefs, or lacking in logic. The robotic Hillary Clinton cackles like an actor on cue when grilled on her numerous controversies and statements.

Cursed with a high anxiety index, leftists derive their inner strength by amassing as a collective. They surround themselves with like-minded wolf packs. Feeling threatened by uncertainty and ambiguity, a leftist also exposes a high uncertainty avoidance. They fear to tread into the unknown.

Exploiting that very fear of the unknown is a constant attack tactic overtly browbeaten against conservatives, but also widely directed toward troops of compliant, uninformed emotional voters. It was effectively utilized to secure a couple of wins in Saskatchewan provincial elections (1991 thru 2003). Back then, our leftist NDP ammo of choice was Medi-scare. Their attacks convinced enough of Saskatchewan’s populace that a conservative government would dismantle provincial healthcare by closing hospitals. Then, after their October 1991 win, the NDP expeditiously closed 52 rural (of the 112) hospitals in April 1993. During their 15-year reign of pain, the NDP also closed 176 schools, eliminated 1,200 long-term care beds and raised taxes 21 times.

During Saskatchewan’s 2007 provincial election, the NDP, on the ropes, attempted to portray the Official Leader of the Opposition, Brad Wall of the Saskatchewan Party, as a wolf in sheep’s clothing with numerous political attack ads.1 Thankfully it failed horribly. The Saskatchewan populace had enough of the leftist frauds, government misspending, and constant government corruption. The NDP were finally decimated in a landslide victory for the SaskParty, which had only been formed a decade earlier.

The fear tactics weren’t just used at the provincial level, but nationally as well. Canada’s federal NDP attempted Medi-scare branding against federal Conservatives between the 1960s to present. Tommy Douglas, the leftist messiah, was edified as the father of Medicare and his sacred legacy was not to be touched. Descendants Shirley Douglas and Kiefer Sutherland (her son with Donald Sutherland) pompously marched on numerous occasions espousing his name and defiantly claiming he had wanted to be even further to the left. Shirley, like many leftists, was also no stranger to using violence as a persuasive tactic, having had a brief stint with the Black Panthers and being arrested in 1969 for soliciting the purchase of hand grenades.2

Negativism is pervasive

Natural pessimists, doom-and-gloomers, Mr. and Mrs. Negativity, naysayers…Rarely will you find an optimist in a leftist midst. They nurse a natural ingrained inferiority complex complete with depression, low expectations and looking for the worst in everything. Finding fault, envious and jealous, leftists blame others for their own woes. Their only morsel of optimism comes from their schadenfreude complex, as they hope and wait with glee for others (especially conservatives) to screw up their lives while never elevating their own failed leftist lives.

Cross-border leftism

Many patriotic Canadians shout, What does American politics have to do with Canada? Vice versa for Americans. Patriotism aside, does it matter on which side of the border leftists reside? A leftist is a leftist, and they are pervasive. Unfortunately, under Obama, the United States become a Marxist wet dream. Many of the American populace, blindly, woefully ignorant, don’t know it yet. Canada just stepped into the warm fresh Marxist doo-doo with our new Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who has an addiction to selfies and spending. (Incidentally, Canadian leftist parties paid Obama’s election team to help sway the Canadian voters into believing a change from conservatism was needed.3 I’ve cited one example, but the evidence is pervasive.

I did not come out of the birth canal as a conservative, but by the age of 14, socialism and liberalism gave me bitter taste in my mouth, like that of vomit. Being raised during Saskatchewan’s stagnant growth under Premier Allan Blakeney; and Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau’s Marxist oil policy along with his You’re Number One tour4, clinched it for me. I knew conservatism and the free market was in my DNA.

But, and it was a big but, there was a blue (red for you Americans) void in my life. Was there no one seeing what I witnessed, what I heard? I pulled my hair and gnashed my teeth at what I saw. My failure was the ability to clearly articulate my thoughts and observations. Ditto for my conservative brethren. I, like other conservatives, placed myself on the defensive. When we presented viable facts or our belief, they were deflected, or our characters immediately impugned. Our leftist opposition walked away feeling superior, believing they were victorious. It took many years, but I learned their seditious game. Hopefully this book enables you to do the same.

Like most Canadians, Americans and especially American politics turned me off. Eventually, the lubricity (like that of a lubricated condom slick Willy failed to use with Monica) of the pathological liar and the un-presidential oral acts within President Bill Clinton’s Oval Office along with conservative talk radio turned me around. I thank God George W. Bush (whom I believe to be an honorable establishment liberal) was president when September 11, 2001 happened. Obama and his Marxist regime are shining examples of leftism at its best in destroying all that was great about America. To be honest, Canadian politics can be a tad boring. It purposely lacks luster, due to lazy leftist Canadian mainstream media endeavouring to keep leftists in power by undermining conservatives. There is always an American leftist willing to put a foot into his mouth (especially former Vice President Joe Biden). Although, I expect our current prime minister Trudeau, with his child-like deep-seated anger-management issues5 to commit multiple gaffes on the world stage and embarrass Canada.

Thanks to conservative talk radio for confirming my thoughts, confirming truth and logic. Conservative talk show hosts Dave Rutherford (my first); John Gormley (just another boring talk radio host until his conservative views saw light of day); Rush Limbaugh (I have been a committed student of higher learning since September 2000); Ann Coulter (spunky, funny); Andrew Wilkow (facts cannot be unbroken); Mark Levin (passionate); Mike Church (I am a disciple of Church doctrine); and many others…you all solidified my thoughts and confirmed my interpretation of a leftist.

Wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it. Right is right even if no one is doing it. Modification of G.K. Chesterton quote6

The left emboldened themselves following Obama’s election in both the United States and Canada, even more so when the media took out the conservative Richard Nixon. Bernie Sanders is an avowed, self-declared, open socialist. Hillary moved further left of Obama in her presidential bid. The first Democrat debate in October 2015 was solely about who was the biggest leftist. New York’s mayor, Bill de Blasio, is also an avowed socialist. Meanwhile in Canada, our leftist parties all moved further left, patterning their 2015 federal election campaigns after Obama’s 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns.

I view a leftist like weeds in crops or beautifully-manicured lawns. They are a nuisance and serve no useful purpose. Weeds leach, stealing valued resources that could and should be used in the fruits of your own labor whether it be income or even enjoying walking barefoot in your back yard.

My use of the word conservative encompasses strong conservatives and some libertarians (in my opinion most self-declared libertarians could be defined as today’s liberals), anyone identifying themselves leaning right. The intent, we as conservatives must understand, is to educate ourselves and fight to the right. Because, when we capitulated to the left and failed to fight and swing the pendulum back to strong conservative values, we unwittingly progressed the leftist cause. Theoretically, the natural progression for elections alternates back and forth between conservatives and leftists. Except we fail to nominate an actual conservative within our leadership ranks, other than Reagan and Diefenbaker. Even these two, one could argue, showed signs of leftism.

We are not right wing, we are strong conservatives. Our numbers are persuasive and powerful, but we just don’t realize it. Conservatism, it is right and just.

CHAPTER 1

THE leftist RELIGIOUS DOCTRINES

We need to embark on this journey of knowledge at or near the birth of North American leftism. North American leftism, a product, in part, of the mass exodus of European and Asian Communism. Immigrating Communists who wanted to remain Communist. Peasants seeking change from the oppressive outcomes of Communism, but were not yet ready to fully embrace freedom of choice, terrified with the thought man controlled his own destiny and not government. Many of these New World settlers from the old country were not fully reformed or self-assured enough to persevere. Reverting to communist philosophy by relying on the strength of others to provide they continue to want or rely on that social safety net today. Secondly, many of our early immigrants were brainwashed by their former leaders who wanted to expand their regime.

This leftist transgression continues to persevere with today’s youth, who erroneously believe in misconstrued idealistic sense of fairness, justice, love, empathy and political correctness. But life is not fair, and justice is something that doesn’t always happen! Our youth and young adults have not yet been reborn to discover truth; they remain suckling their mother’s bosom and entrenched in a father’s protective hug and his parental obligation to provide. Never having fully left the nest, today’s youth do not know not the difference between wants and needs.

The Communist Manifesto, was written by two idealistic but angry young men, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. It was first published in February 1848. They believed societal woes from the industrial revolution stemmed from the unequal distribution and control of the means of production—land, machinery, factories and investment capital. One merely needed to change the relationship of worker to capital. This would erase all existing evil conditions of life. There would be no more exploitation but only paradise.

The Manifesto leads with a boring read, depicting the bourgeois society (owners of production) oppressing, exploiting proletarians (working class). The Manifesto instructs the proletariat of the danger of a modern industrialized society and the unsustainability of capitalism. The Manifesto claims that state reforms cannot improve the lives of those in lower social classes, but a revolution can. Marx and Engels insist that capitalism will eventually fall to socialism and finally Communism. The Communist’s version of a utopian society is a society whereby all property is owned and controlled by the state; and family structure, religion and morality are eliminated. Let’s consider each of these.

Marx and Engels advocated abolishing private property—everything from land to the clothes on your back. Even your toothbrush would be state-owned and controlled. Television, radio, newspapers, the Internet, if allowed to exist, would also be state-owned. Therefore, the content the mass media (you guessed it) also state controlled.

The Communist Manifesto advocates Abolition of the family!7 It proclaims that the family must be destroyed to end what it describes as exploitation of children by their parents. This includes marriage, which they refer to as, prostitution both public and private.8 Eliminate familial bonds, defer everything to the state. The leftist dream is for the state to raise and teach your children—if there are any children, for in this utopian society, females are no longer subjugated to child birth.

The statement communism abolishes eternal truths, it abolishes all religion, and all morality,9 explains their position. Removing one’s faith in God displaces it to the state.

Marx and Engels were disapproving of the idiocy of rural life.10

The Manifesto outlines a course of action to affect this leftist stateless (one world government), classless society by implementing the following measures:

The final words of the Communist Manifesto urge the proletariat to take up violent arms:

The Communists disdain to conceal their views and aims. They openly declare that their ends can be attained only by the forcible overthrow of all existing social conditions. Let the ruling classes tremble at a Communist revolution. The proletarians have nothing to lose but their chains. They have a world to win. Working men of all countries, unite!

Absolutely chilling! The Manifesto’s goal was for the dissolution of the old ideas [to keep] even pace with the dissolution of the old conditions of existence.11 Marx and Engels advocacy and implementation runs deep in today’s modern society. Full-fledged Communism is virtually and rapidly becoming reality. The only modern deviation from their perverse measures is that abolition of town and country12 will not be fulfilled. Modern day leftists concur with the United Nations’ Envision Agenda 21 (reworked to UN2030), where socially- engineered urban development encompasses a small footprint. Cities embrace high-rise apartments that are walking distance to the core where the local government provides all.

Unfortunately, Marx and Engels made two critical errors. The first is their insistence that wrong economic relationships are the root cause of man’s oppression. The second, and more egregious, is their reliance on man as the agent of change. The problem with this reliance is that when man lacks wisdom and religious spirit, he is the cause of oppression and the world’s woes.

The left aptly realizes a revolution starts in the mind. Conservatives forget this all too often.

There is minimal open discussion about Communism anymore (although Crazy Bernie Sanders, 2016 Democrat nomination contestant, and his supporters actively promote its rebirth). Supposedly, Communism died when the East German (Berlin) Wall fell in November 1989. Don’t doubt me when I say it has not disappeared, like an alligator it silently lurks just beneath the water, eyes penetrating ready to attack, consume. Communists operate under a different banner now. They call themselves socialists, liberals, progressives, Green Party, Democrats, the Global Warming activist crowd, Occupy Wall Street, Black Lives Matter, Antifa and nationalists. When you understand leftists and their atheistic practice, when you take God out of the equation, you will understand the duplicitous terminology.

Many claim the Regina Manifesto is the mother of socialism (re branding of Communism) in North America. You may change the name, but identity, although reprehensible and subversive, remains. It does not mean you change the definition or the intent, or soften the outcome.

We must study the manifesto in its entirety to discern the fullness of their position. The Regina Manifesto, a creation of the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF), was adopted at the first national convention of the CCF held in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1933.

Regina Manifesto highlights:

We aim to replace the present capitalist system…these evils can be removed only in a planned and socialized economy in which our natural resources and principal means of production and distribution are owned, controlled and operated by the people.

…Plan for the production, distribution and exchange of all goods and services necessary to the efficient functioning of the economy…

…Require the control of finance and all those vital industries and services…

Socialization (Dominion, Provincial or Municipal) of transportation, communications, electric power and all other industries and services essential to social planning, and their operation…

The welfare of the community must take supremacy over the claims of private wealth.

…We propose a drastic extension of income, corporation and inheritance taxes, steeply graduated according to ability to pay.

The establishment of a commission composed of psychiatrists, psychologists, socially minded jurists and social workers, to deal with all matters pertaining to crime and punishment and the general administration of law, in order to humanize the law and to bring it harmony with the needs of the people.

The Regina Manifesto remained the official leftist plan until 1956 when it was replaced with a much more toned-down Winnipeg Declaration. Apparently, the Regina Manifesto resembled its brethren, the Communist Manifesto, during a period when strong anti-communist sentiment of the Cold War grew.

Essentially it substituted softer verbiage of Keynesianism for socialist remedies. This ploy continues today, such as the use of the term Progressive rather than Socialist.

To not be accused of bias and taking the manifesto out of context, I’ve included in entirety the evil of disguised despotism in the appendix. Please do not ignore it, but reflect deeply on its words and Marxist subtext.

CHAPTER 2

ALINSKY & NORTH AMERICA’S COMMUNIST COUP

Community organizer and author Saul Alinsky, penned a 10-chapter book, Rules for Radicals, in 1971, shortly before his death. He signals his soulless purpose right up front with a dedication to Lucifer, the Anti-Christ.

Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins—or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom—Lucifer.

Alinsky’s goal within Rules for Radicals was to create a guide for future community organizers (subversive leftists) to use in uniting low-income communities, or have-nots, to empower them to gain social, political, and economic equality by challenging the current agencies that promoted their inequality.13 Notice the deep connection between Saul, Marx/Engels and former President Barack Hussein Obama!

According to Dinesh D’Souza, Alinsky was a petty thief in his youth and later for organized crime under Al Capone. Hence, Alinsky understood the effectiveness of intimidation, threats and disruption. If you direct such tactics toward corporations and governments, they will pay you to go away. If you elect a sympathetic Manchurian candidate, government will aid your cause.

Rules for radicals

If you are not compelled to read Alinsky’s book, Glenn Beck summarizes Alinsky 13 rules into 12. Glenn humorously states at the end of his webpage, Be Sociable, Share! Thanks Glenn.

Saul Alinsky’s 12 Rules for Radicals14

RULE 1: Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have. Power is derived from two main sources – money and people. Have-Nots must build power from flesh and blood. (These are two things of which there is a plentiful supply. Government and corporations always have a difficult time appealing to people, and usually do so almost exclusively with economic arguments.)

RULE 2: Never go outside the expertise of your people. It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone. (Organizations under attack wonder why radicals don’t address the real issues. This is why. They avoid things with which they have no knowledge.)

RULE 3: Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy. Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)

RULE 4: Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all their own rules. (This is a serious rule. The besieged entities’ very credibility and reputation is at stake, because if activists catch it lying or not living up to its commitments, they can continue to chip away at the damage.)

RULE 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. There is no defense. Its irrational. Its infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. (Pretty crude, rude and mean, huh? They want to create anger and fear.)

RULE 6: A good tactic is one your people enjoy. They’ll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They’re doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones. (Radical activists, in this sense, are no different than any other human being. We all avoid un-fun activities, and but we revel at and enjoy the ones that work and bring results.)

RULE 7: A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Don’t become old news. (Even radical activists get bored. So to keep them excited and involved, organizers are constantly coming up with new tactics.)

RULE 8: Keep the pressure on. Never let up. Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new. (Attack, attack, attack from all sides, never giving the reeling organization a chance to rest, regroup, recover and re-strategize.)

RULE 9: The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself. Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist. (Perception is reality. Large organizations always prepare a worst-case scenario, something that may be furthest from the activists’ minds. The upshot is that the organization will expend enormous time and energy, creating in its own collective mind the direst of conclusions. The possibilities can easily poison the mind and result in demoralization.)

RULE 10: If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive. Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog. (Unions used this tactic. Peaceful [albeit loud] demonstrations during the heyday of unions in the early to mid-20th Century incurred managements wrath, often in the form of violence that eventually brought public sympathy to their side.)

RULE 11: The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Never let the enemy score points because you’re caught without a solution to the problem. (Old saw: If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem. Activist organizations have an agenda, and their strategy is to hold a place at the table, to be given a forum to wield their power. So, they have to have a compromise solution.)

RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)

If you must enter discussions with leftists, use an Alinsky rule, or combination of rules, to challenge and defeat your opponents. This takes practice and a strong understanding of Alinksy’s rules.

Taking over America

Before the likes of Alinsky, there was Cleon Skousen. Born in Alberta, Canada in 1913, he was a conservative American constitutionalist and faith-based political theorist. Understanding the dangers, and feeling the need to warn America of Communism, he wrote The Naked Communist. Within it were the 45 goals for a communist takeover of America.

To highlight Skousen’s political intellect and insight into the frailties of human nature, and the attraction of Communism to the weakest of people who unknowingly, or even willingly, allow Communism’s rule, I’m sharing a few of Communism’s goals for a country’s takeover. Like the Communist Manifesto, I urge you to read Skousen’s 45 goals in the Appendices.

In goal number 6, Skousen states Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination. Canada, in 2017, budgeted contributions of $650 million for sexual and reproductive health and rights world-wide,15 yet the media bitterly complains Canada’s total foreign aid is inadequate.16 America’s foreign aid system began its wealth redistribution existence through the 1961 Foreign Assistance Act.17

In Goal 11, Skousen accurately predicted that communists would want to Promote the United Nations as the only hope for mankind. The left politicized every aspect of public, individual life and interactions between each, believing the entirety of one’s life revolves around communism which is embedded within the United Nations. They want to imbue humanity with one set of ideas and forget about our ancient thinkers and other worldly philosophers such as Plato, Thomas Aquinas, Tocqueville, Ludwig von Mises, and Ayn Rand because they might contaminate our limited minds with incorrect ideas.

Skousen’s 15th Communism’s goal, Capture one or both political parties in the United States, attracts no argument from me. All of Canada’s political parties and both American national political parties have moved so far to the left that they bear no resemblance to their identity 40 years ago.

Skousen also correctly predicted Goals 16 and 17. Goal 16 states that Communism would infiltrate and use our nation’s courts under the banner of civil rights to weaken legislation; and Number 17 points to infiltration of our schools by gaining control of our teachers and textbooks, which would transmit education to mold future Communists.

No one can argue that Goals 20 and 21 have not been fulfilled: Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy making positions. Number 21, Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures. Proof of such can fill whole libraries rather than a simple upcoming chapter.

Goals 26 and 37 took a massive leap forward under Obama’s Presidency- Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as normal, natural, healthy. Goal 37 advises to Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

Those of use of who espouse traditional organized religion witnessed discrediting of the Bible and an infiltration of our churches. They have replaced traditional religious teachings with social religion. Skousen warned us of this in Goal 27.

Ensuring that Communist take-over strengthens through future generations, Skousen predicted in Goal 41 that they would Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.18

These and the rest of the 45 goals were submitted to the US Congressional Record in 1963 as the 45 Goals of The Communist Takeover of America. Unfortunately, it has been all but forgotten by the conservative establishment.

CHAPTER 3

THE COLLECTIVE

We contend that for a nation to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle. — Winston Churchill

Beware the greedy hand of government thrusting itself into every corner and crevice of industry. — Thomas Paine

Grandpa and Grandma, a fruitful and lovely elderly couple, married for 65 years, created a large extended family. They appear warm and generous, but Grandma displays signs of declining physical and mental health. Grandpa knows Grandma has a fondness and love for jewellery, especially diamonds. So, Grandpa buys her a million-dollar ring in the hope it will rejuvenate her, extending the days with joy before her eventual demise.

The next day, Grandma proudly shows off the newly purchased ring to their bountiful offspring. Grandpa informs his Children that the ring cost more than he expected but Grandma’s happy; it is the thought that counts. It will give her joy for many years to come.

Soon the Children discover that even though Grandpa paid a million, the diamond ring’s true value is only $1,000, and is made of glass. Grandpa smiles and says the intent outweighs the cost. He loves her and cares for her.

Grandpa, secretly worried, later informs his Children he will now demand $5.00 a week from them. Grandma is dying, but he needs the funds to maintain Grandma’s health. No one can opt out, it must be done, it is for Grandma. The children aren’t too happy, but we love Grandma, she’s happy, so they dutifully comply.

Two years later, Grandpa examines his finances after, sadly, Grandma has just passed away, and determines that he requires funds to bury her with dignity, the way she wished. Even though she left no will, Grandpa proclaims to his Children, Grandma didn’t want a dull funeral, but a grand extravagant party celebrating her life. The ring she dearly loved would be buried with her.

Grandma rests in peace, her grave a shrine, never to be forgotten and envied by all. Shortly after, Grandpa breaks the news to his children that the ring remains unpaid. The $5.00 collected for Grandma’s maintenance will continue, but will now cost each Child $10.00 a week. But not to worry, he says, he has a plan. Trust in him.

Another year passes, and Grandpa joined Grandma in the hereafter. Abundant Grandchildren frolic during the funeral luncheon. Not a care in the world, each enjoying the other’s company. The family’s new patriarch gathers his siblings. Time to resolve matters of inheritance. Grandpa must have been rich, he worked hard in a union job with a large income. The inheritance shall be bountiful; it will be plentiful for all to share.

Unfortunately, they find out Grandpa never handled Grandma’s death well. They are shocked to discover that Grandpa never paid down the ring’s loan, but used the money elsewhere, for his own personal gratification such as gambling and drinking adult beverages. He even supported a young immigrant mistress! He was truly troubled with Grandma’s passing. He loved her so much. He had done the best he could with what he had.

Worse yet, the line of credit for the
