Her Soul Cries
()
About this ebook
Her Soul Cries (bold & italicized title) was birthed to promote the need for an emotional purging of the soul as a true means for wholeness...In doing so it exposes human nature in its rawest form. The book is nontraditional and is a true depiction of the baggage life gives us to carry. It symbolizes a slow progressiveness from an existence of utter disparity to one of needed changeon a personal level. It includes themes of rejection, domestic abuse, and sexuality. Each one are inclusive to families and communities. Her Soul Cries (bold & italicized title) represents a wide range of emotion. Lighthearted memories are mingled with those that may be more difficult to digest, grasping your attention and arousing your curiosity. This book is written to promote understanding as a replacement for judgment. The writer uses a combination of poetry, prose, random thoughts, teachable statements, and related bible references to create a sense of connection with the reader.

Romans 1: 18-32 NIV
18. The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness,
19. since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.
20. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
21. For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.
22. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools
23. and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
24. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.
25. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and they worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones.
27. In the same way the man also abandoned natural relations with woman and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
28. Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, He gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.
29. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips,
30. slanderers, God haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents;
31. They are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless.
32. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
I know that you are thinking, What in the world does that passage of scripture have to do with a book about someone’s pain?
To tell you the truth…everything!
The Backward Forward: A Terrible Parable
Look for the wind and you will not find it.
You can feel it against your face. You can hear it howl, harmonizing with the twinkle of chimes on a storming afternoon. The wind pushes and pulls the weather, influencing ever-evoking patterns of rain into sleet into hail.
You can see debris in the wind such as dirt, fallen leaves and things discarded, but you can’t see the wind itself. It’s funny that way. The wind can lift an umbrella from your hands or simply rip it to shreds or blow sand into your eyes. Search for its form and it will evade you. The wind can be mischievous.
Sometimes we choose to open all the windows in our homes and just let the wind in. The wind brings in fresh air, choosing to either creep in softly or to whip in fiercely disheveling everything. The wind can be unpredictable.
If you listen, you are certain to hear its unrest late at night. Heed its sullen wails amid walls, agitating itself between buildings and in doorways. Gaining momentum.
It can slip between your fingers or create great resistance. Strong enough to push you off balance. Quick enough to snatch objects from your very hands. Violent enough to suck down the heavens within a twisted vortex and uproot trees. The wind can break limbs. The wind can pitch cars and trucks like Tonkas, rip the roof top off of well built homes, expose the insides of a dumpster by flipping its lid, cave walls in of tin, wood and stone, crush constructions, shatter glass with its pressure then soften into a light and wispy breeze.
A breeze can be a comforting thing.
The kind you hope for on hot Texas days. Like a glass of sweet tea with mint leaves and so much sugar you can’t stir in anymore. The kind that carries the scent of wild flowers or fresh cut grass or the sounds of your children giggling when the roughhousing concludes. The kind of breeze that sways the strawberries, swirls the potato patch and staggers through corn stalks. The kind that once brushed lightly against your cheek with the back of its hand. That plays with your hair and breathes coolly against your nape.
The wind serves as a catalyst for cataclysm if left unchecked. Tranquil, it can emerge at any moment a monstrosity.
The wind isn’t frightening, but sometimes its sound can scare the children. Wind won’t blind you, but it can create dust storms which blight your sight. Wind would never choke you, but it can steal your breath. The wind hasn’t battered you. Any abrupt gust can just as easily push you down.
Wind, however; will erode.
It etched the Grand Canyon into the face of the land by displacing one grain of sand at a time and in time it too can engrave you.
Wind is particularly patient and waits: rattling the gate, tapping against the window late, creaking the old bones of your home when you find yourself alone. The wind slams the door if you leave it open. Wind can be chilling that way.
It swirls around restless, silent in its iniquity.
The wind can scatter your markers making it harder to find the way back. In the forest where shadows shift behind you, the wind can carry your scent to the wolves waiting. The wind can betray you.
The wind can carry you across a field of dreamed recollections in succession.
Wind can ripple unmoving waters and can turn rain into hurricanes.
Look for the wind and you will not find it; unless you can feel it against your face.
A Terrible Parable, Concluded
Wind propels sails and works up waves into relentless hammers. Jesus in the hinder when they enter, pause, stammer, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
Careless with faith they braced for the worse. And he arose, rebuked the wind, and then unto the sea he said Peace, be still.
So you see, to cease death’s work the wind foremost must cease first.
Daniel D. Clayton
The Truth
Without any sort of salutation, if I could give to you my final words of closure they would be for you to tell everything. No short cuts. No middle beginnings. No one-sided fairy tales…And please, nothing that drums up any feelings of sympathy on either end. All is fair in love, war, and truth. Then again maybe it is all about favoritism and perspective. Point out one individual who could ever give it or get it in its entirety and I will refer to the three fingers pointing back to self and say, "The truth is only your real version
