Two boyhood friends take different paths in life, Tony becomes a priest and Charlie a gangster; in time, Linda, Tonys first love and Charlies wife, saves the priests life and Charlies soul.Frank, Tonys brother, botches a job for the mob leaving a trail to Frank, and Tony, who also knows all. This leaves the mob no choice but to execute them both. Linda suspects the mobs evil plan and intervenes to save Tony. This is just another in a long list of ways she continues to show her love of Tony even though he walked out on her to go to the seminary years ago.Charlie, then, begins his soul-searching. Too much is at stake for him to play along with the mob, so he decides to put his own plan into play.
