    DEDICATION

To Francie, Frank and Julian who have all inspired me throughout my life.

To all the other wonderful people, animals and pets who have shared my journey here on Earth and who have enriched my life during this special lifetime.

    PREFACE

I embarked on my first overseas holiday to the British Isles, when I was twenty-seven, with my husband, Frank and on arrival re-connected with a high school friend, Barbara and her family. All together we travelled from London to County Suffolk, across to Liverpool and North Wales, where we camped for a week in this glorious part of the United Kingdom.

The best years of my life were shared with my beloved daughter who made life more meaningful having another person to care for, some-one who inspired me and taught me more about life than anyone else. She nurtured in me a great love of animals and our extended family included a number of pets, three dogs and cats and she was there to care for them whenever I travelled away from home.

The inspiration for this story occurred on a journey I set out on alone, around the World in 2002, when I travelled from Los Angeles to New York City with American Airlines and then on to London with Qantas, an Australian Airline. The Concorde was still in operation, as the last call for boarding was heard over the loud speaker at Kennedy Airport on the day I was leaving New York City, but I was not on the passenger list for the Concord, nor ever will be as this airline ceased operation in November 2003.

I have led an interesting life and my reflection is not only on my own journey in this life but also a recollection of numerous journeys in times past and the future to come, an ability which all people have but many have forgotten how to access.

    PART ONE

    JOURNEY THROUGH TIME

    Chapter One

    Kennedy Airport, New York City

As Angelina made her way from her hotel in Manhattan in the taxi cab she gazed out of the window at the wondrous sights of one of the most magnificent cities in the world and as the cab headed over the Brooklyn Bridge on the way to Kennedy Airport, she made a silent wish that she would return again to this beautiful place. The time was September 2002 and Angelina had visited the site of Ground Zero and shed tears for the enormous loss of lives that occurred the year before on that dreadful day in September. She had also taken a ferry ride on the Hudson River during her stay after finally finding her way there with the help of a lovely black lady bus driver who pointed her in the right direction to the Hudson River quay. The river cruise took in the famous sights of New York City including the Statue of Liberty and the tallest building, the Empire State Skyscraper at one time.

On arrival at the busy international airport where planes were arriving and departing amidst much activity and noise, Angelina soon found her way to the terminal after booking in and dropping her luggage off on the conveyor belt, she then sat down in the departure lounge with a coffee latte and a magazine to await her call for boarding. It was then she noticed him, a very attractive blonde haired man sitting opposite her who seemed familiar somehow to her even though she did not actually know him or even his first name. Angelina had read a book recently all about twin souls and soul mates in which the author believed that all of us possess a twin soul or soul mate who is linked to us through all of our many incarnations. It was stated that our other half journeys with us towards spiritual enlightenment and that, when we meet our twin, it is a profound encounter, which changes us forever.

While waiting for her flight to London, Angelina looked at the departure screen and her watch, she then grabbed her mobile phone out of her handbag and keyed in a number. As she listened to the ringing tone waiting for an answer from her old friend who was to meet her at Heathrow Airport, she overheard the announcement on loudspeaker that the Concorde flight number 204 bound for London, United Kingdom was ready for boarding from gate 24 and although she was not booked on the Concorde, she rather anxiously hoped that the good-looking blonde man also was not leaving on this particular flight.

The next announcement was for Angelina’s flight number 206 to London and she quickly switched off her phone, dropped it into her bag, picked up her hand luggage and headed over to the boarding gate to check-in and board her Qantas aircraft through the boarding gate.

The check-in clerk returned the boarding pass to Angelina after passing it through the machine, thanked Miss Angelina Grey and wished her an enjoyable flight across the Atlantic that evening. On board the aircraft she was directed by the Flight Steward to her seat number which was first class and by the window. Other passengers were around her placing their luggage in the overhead locker compartments but Angelina who was looking out of the window, paid no attention to them as her thoughts were of her arrival at her destination and the long awaited meeting with her old friend. She did
