The New York Times bestselling second novel from the Sunday Times bestselling author of Bergdorf Blondes, set in the cutthroat world of Manhattan's most eligible elite

Sylvia Mortimer is licking her wounds somewhat: she's back from her honeymoon, and her husband is already AWOL. But then she meets Lauren Blount, queen bee of Manhattan's glamorous Debutante Divorcée set. Lauren's the gleaming, glossy proof that there's life after divorce – in fact, she wears it fabulously.

But when New York's most notorious Husband Huntress sets her sights on Sylvia's new man, she starts to wonder – is Lauren right that no one needs a husband anyway? Or should she hold out for Happily Ever After II, stand up and fight for her man?

This is a fast read, but pretty predictable. It's mostly superficial and about society women who are vapid and spoiled. It all wraps up happily at the end. If it hadn't been a book club book, I wouldn't have bothered.

was expecting this to be great, as I really liked Bergdorf Blondes, but it didn't live up to the first book at all. I found it not so funny and just...dull. I liked the characters and it was definitely a fast read, but I was disappointed.

The Debutante Divorcee is witty and fast paced. It will appeal to the type of woman who subscribes to Vogue magazine (I am one of these women). Overall this is a fun book that can be read in one sitting.

i wouldn't say it was terrible but this book could've been a lot slimmer. i've read her bergdorf blondes & i don't think debutante divorcee is as readable.

Couldn't have cared less about the constant name dropping and boring lives of self involved socialites - ddn't appeal to me at all - had to make myself finish it

Another fun romp through the lunacy of the Upper East Side...this time with a main protagonist who is much more likable than "moi" from Bergdorf Blondes.

Fun, fashion fluff...what's there not to enjoy

I didn't get the point of this book..... I really tried to like it, and I kept reading until it was painful, but the book was not funny, the characters were shallow, and I just couldn't relate.

Let's see: there is this gal who's in some ubër-expensive Mexican resort on her honeymoon, however, her husband has left her @ the airport on business. She meets up with these two young empty-headed, glob-trotting, super-rich, divorced women. They spend their time talking about the things I imagine super-rich globe-trotting women do, drinking alcohol filled tropical libations, lounge around sunning, gossiping, cruising on the water & wearing marvelously expensive designer clothing.....and talking about their marriages/divorces.

I didn't like the characters, I didn't feel any thing in common with them, I didn't empathize with them....empty women with too much time & money on their hands......

    I missed out completely.......
