About this ebook
Thinking about Self Publishing? Let me help! If you've finished writing a story and asked yourself “What Now?” then this short guide book may be able to help. It is not a complete step by step manual. But it will, at the very least, broaden your scope of what to expect when finally pushing yourself to get your manuscript published. There are a lot of steps between hitting save for the final time, and holding a paperback in your hands. Inside you will find some tips and resources that I commonly use that could be useful to any author.

Alicia grew up in a very small Pacific NorthWest town of 900 people with not much to do. She used books and music as an escape from boredom. She is also an accomplished Harley Davidson mechanic, (she graduated from the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute) and owned her own shop alongside her father in Phoenix, AZ for several years. After moving away from the motorcycle business, she picked up writing and always has many stories either in progress or in a long running list of ideas to write about. Many of her books are based on dreams she's had, and are further inspired by other authors and current television shows. Favorite authors are Katherine Kerr, Terry Goodkind, R.A. Salvatore and George R. R. Martin.

How'd You Do It? - A L Wright
I Want to Publish, But I’m Not Sure How!
Sound familiar? You have an idea for a story, heck you’ve got your story written! But now what? You look around at other authors and are baffled at how they even got their books up for sale.
How do you go from Idea to a beautiful book in your hands?
It’s Easy! Ok, no it’s not easy. But it’s a bit easier if you have some guidance, and a little bit of help.
First ask yourself if you want to self-publish, or if you want to submit to major publishing houses?
Submitting to major publishing houses is very difficult. It can take years and hundreds of submissions to be accepted, if ever. You as the original creator of the work, really have very little control. But if you are lucky to be picked up, can make decent money and just concentrate on writing what’s next. But again, you lose a lot of creative control.
You may have little say in editing your story. A publisher may like it, but if they want changes, chances are you either agree to them or lose the
