      3.5 stars rounded up to 4. Nicholas and Michaela are in London on vacation, but it doesn't take long for them to get consulted on a case. When filthy rich people are dying from a mysterious poison delivered by drones, they are asked to help. As the investigation plays out, there is major spying on government computers to deal with and the kidnapping of an American Professor. The culprit is known from the start, Ramon Radulov, who is the billionaire owner of a tech company which specializes in computer programs that prevent hacking. Ramon has a secret twin who suffers from a rare form of hemophilia and Ramon is desperately trying to find a cure. He believes the answer to his brother's illness lies in an ancient book, the Voynich manuscript which no one can read, no one that is except Ramon, his brother, and Dr Isabella Marin. Ramon will stop at nothing to find the cure. Nicholas and Michaela, could be referred to as cowboys, as they will stop at nothing to save the world, specifically England. The story hits its final peak during an attack on British Parliament where the Queen, the Prime Minister, and the American President are all possible victims.

      This is a suspenseful, action packed thriller that is a fun, totally escape read. You must suspend reality as you read this and if you do, you will enjoy it. Throw in some drones, falcons, evil twins related to Vlad Dracula, drinking blood, an ancient book that no one can read, a traitor in the M16, poison darts shot from drones, two FBI agents, a white hat hacker and you will have an engaging fast paced read.

      This is book 5 in the “Brit in the FBI” series by Catherine Coulter and JT Ellison. I hadn’t read any of the previous ones, but was able to pick up the series without trouble. There is some crossover with Coulter’s “FBI Thrillers” series with a cameo by Savich and Sherlock.

      It must be difficult to come up with new plots for government thrillers, but The Sixth Day provided a new twist that was entertaining and fun. I enjoyed the book, and while I wouldn’t class it has intellectually taxing, it was a pleasant way to spend an afternoon reading.

      Very fast paced and an enjoyable read. This is the fifth in a series and having not read the others I was a little lost in the backstory but will definitely go back and read the others!

      Pretty fun thriller. Fictional evil twin half-brothers of Vlad the Impaler wrote the Voynich Manuscript.Throughout history only special twins can read it. I got a little twined out. There was evil twins in the prior book too.At one point, I was shooting just shoot the bird! Mike mentions afterwards she should have, but the only real apparent reason was to keep the danger going. The woman of course twist her ankle when the are running, that just annoys me. It didn't stop her, but its still a overused devise.

      I enjoy stories that weave some true historical info into the novels. This one deals with the Voynich Manuscript (I had to do a search to find out what this was) and incorporate in a story that deals with drones, malware, falcons, greed and revenge. FBI special agents Michaela Caine and Nicholas Drummond are back in this Brit in The FBI story. They are vacationing in England when mysterious murders are taking place and a cyber-attack on the government’s servers. This is another fast paced, action packed thriller that not only takes place now but also includes tales of how the manuscripts ended up where they are and the ‘powers’ they have. Although over 500 pages, I was so enthralled that I finished the book in now time!

      I started reading Catherine Coulter's FBI series probably ten or twelve years ago. In that time things have happened, well, life has happened, and I have not read many of the newer ones. I was surprised to find that now there is the Brit in the FBI series. I was interested as I like British mysteries also. They have a certain feel to them that makes them extra mysterious.This book is well-written and surprising to me. I expected the British influence coupled with the American FBI agents as well and I find it a good mix. I did not expect some of the other elements in this particular story and I really can't give that much of it away here, as I would not want to spoil it for others who will read this. Let's just say you will find notes of a familiar story playing a part in this story. It adds to the intrigue and I loved it.What an exciting ride this book was! You will love it.

      Drones? Very old manuscript? Bitcoins? Vlad Dracul? Trained falcons? Bram Stoker? Political figures mysteriously dying daily on a daily basis?What the heck? How do all these tie in together you ask? Well, just leave it to Catherine Coulter and J. T. Ellison. They absolutely had and have the knack to do so while keeping you on your toes with your pulse racing and your heart beating right out of your chest.This is definitely a duo that when I see their names together, I am immediately raising my hand to sign me for their reads. As usual, this one did not fail to disappoint. Psychotic villains who went way above and beyond the "what if" scary factor.This book had me racing through it. The action is non stop and believable (scary!!). I loved how hemophilia and Dracula were able to come together in this unputdownable read. I especially loved the little bit about Bram Stoker - genius!Grossest part? "He gave her a chicken neck from his pocket." OMG, I could literally smell that rancid thing and even now, I am still getting a little nauseous.While only my second book in the series, I look forward to more and hopefully find time to go back and read the others.Excellent read that I read in one sitting.Kudos to the authors and thanks to Gallery, Pocket Threshold Books and Net Galley for providing me with a free e-galley in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

      I received a print copy of the book from the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review.I was so excited when I learned that I had won a copy of The Sixth Day that I promptly reread the previous books in this series. The basic premise of this book is that the twin half-brothers to Vlad the Impaler compiled a mysterious document. This manuscript eventually became known as the Voynich manuscript and is reported to contain a cure for a rare form of hemophilia dating back to its 15th-century origins. In the 21st century, a set of twins are setting up a drone army to overtake terrorists whilst pursuing a cure for this rare form of hemophilia. What does this have to do with the FBI? Well, these twins are willing to use any means necessary, namely backdoors in a computer security program currently installed in various high-level government computer systems, as well as murder to get things done. Enter Nicholas Drummond, a "Brit in the FBI," and his team of FBI operatives. The Sixth Day is a fast-paced thriller of beat-the-clock as Nicholas and others attempt to determine what is going on, who is doing it, and why. Yes, there's a lot going on in the story, international intrigue, vampire folklore and myth, mayhem, murder, greed, drugs, etc., but they all come together quite well in a high-stakes thrill-a-minute read. I can't wait for the next installment in the A Brit In the FBI Thriller series.

I have no personal affiliation with the author. ‘The Sixth Day’ is a great historical crime thriller by two of my all time favorite authors. A Brit in the FBI series is well-written and a great series. Major political figures are being murdered. An unusual poison is being used and it seems to have come from the air. Is the killer using drones and/or falcons? Is this somehow linked to the ancient Voynich Manuscript, twin language, and Dracula? Is there a deranged killer behind all this? Nicholas, Michaela, and Adam along with MI5 and others have their work cut out for them as they race against time to find who is behind all this and to prevent more murders. Is this the work of a deranged mad man? This is a very well-written crime thriller with a great plot and excellent character development. The authors are great storytellers. Wow, the suspense and action never quits. Couldn’t put it down. There are so many twists and turns. I do enjoy the occasional mention of Savich and Sherlock. This book is well worth the read and I’m looking forward to reading more in A Brit in the FBI series in the future.
