About this ebook

It would be great if we could govern ourselves, according to our own time, which displays the optimum rhythm for any performance; therefore, as we will see throughout the book, to follow it will provide health.

Each of us is a unique being, so it would be convenient if we could learn to listen to our own organism’s clock, in order to live in attunement with its functioning.  Thereby, by adjusting to it, we will be able to perform any task with ability and calmness.

To perform daily activities more quickly than this time, will only bring stress and diseases associated with it. Similarly, performing them slower than the optimum time will cause despair and boredom.

This present book addresses a theme of great relevance for personal self-discovery and for social relations, as it will enable us to approach others under a new enriching perspective.

Capter 1. The most striking discovery of our times

If someone stops for a while to look around, wondering how it was the background at one’s father times, it would be easy to notice technology has incredibly improved. Forty years ago they had no idea about mobile phone and words, such as Facebook, Twiter or WhatsApp; very usual today, however unimaginable for them.

Moreover, if we look back at our grandfather times, changes are even clearer when compared with ours. Today we wake up by the mobile's alarm clock, where we can check if there is any message from any part of the world and at the same time we check the weather forecast. Likewise the plasma TV may be our companion during the breakfast, and on our way to work it is possible to check messages on BlackBerry or even watch and enjoy our idol's last show on iPod.

We are so used to technology and its progress that it’s hard to understand the concept of civilization without it. In fact, technology is exactly the central line through which we frame the developed world, according to its technological availability and advancements at many fields of knowledge as, for example, medicine.

Developing countries are those that gradually incorporate their technological use as well as increase infrastructure, such as paving, freeways, but also an electric line that lights up the streets or allows traffic control by traffic lights.

But for those of the undeveloped world, all mentioned above is so far as to our father's father times, when he was young.

There were many improvements experienced by current civilization along history until get to its current level, which is considered usual today but one century ago it would have been considered highly exceptional, as for example: The electricity that lights up each corner of our cities, as neon advertisement signs, traffic lights or street lights. And also the massive use of internet and long-distance communication through tablets and a varied range of mobile devices; today in
