    What would you do if you found yourself stranded in the middle of a dark estranged forest? Your horse broke its leg and now you must hike to the nearest town on foot. The night is cold, and an eerie mist slowly begins to rise from the ground. The forest is dead silent... no crickets... no chirps... no howls in the night... not even a subtle breeze. The trees are tall, and moss covered. The moon is crescent, and the stars provide very little additional light. Your torch flickers and wavers at nothing and your eyes seem to play tricks on you... or do they?
    A midst your growing anxiety, you recall the stories of a creature, only known as, “The Beast.” Shadows play and shift from the corners of your eyes... what do you really see...? What rattles your nerves...? The mist rises, and it feels like wading in water. What creature can move in absolute silence? What lies beneath the rising mist? What tells you to run? Why do you fear for your life, when it seems that only your shadow lingers?

    I was born and raised in California. I was an athlete, a dreamer, had a pinch of acting and tech savviness. I took to writing and poetry in my College days, while all of the above still played as unknown factors of my early life, of what Career path I would take.Over the course of trying to find my niche, writing had become an enjoyable hobby, and towards the end of my college days, I had started my first book. For years it was a work in progress, but bit by bit, regardless of the good days or bad days, it was a goal that was determined to be completed.In 2007, that goal would be completed and my first book, “The Far Cry: Legend of the Scepter” was published on paperback. Before and after that publication, I started to create a series of short stories and novellas based in the same realm as The Far Cry.During those final phases of publishing The Far Cry, my best friend and artist, Rachelle, would kindle a relationship and she became my wife in 2008. Currently, I work in the Structural Design field and I write in my spare time.
