    Arrival in Cancun

    From Fish Tacos to Serenity

While being transported from the aeropuerto in the van shuttle to a secluded resort, El Mirage Playa, in Cancun, Mexico, I quickly looked at my travel schedule and noticed that the Resort was about forty-five minutes from the Cancun International Airport. The Resort was located on the Caribbean coast of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. I remembered thinking this is a long ride to get to serenity. My car’s air conditioning gives me the chills so much so that I have to turn it off and ride with the windows down most of the time. The weather back home in Altadena, California, a small city located just north of Pasadena, California, home of the Rose Bowl, (Excuse me, that is the football fan in me talking) is cooler than it is in Cancun right now, by at least 15 degrees. What I wouldn’t do for that chilly air conditioning from my car right
