    I'm a native Arizonan and while growing up, I would often write down notes about stories germinating in my head. I was always interested in the fantasy genre, having been introduced to Anne McCaffrey's Riders of Pern book series (may she rest in peace) in elementary school. I devoured Piers Anthony, Raymond E. Feist, and later, Lord of the Rings. In trying my hand at mysteries, I've found they are fickle things, like a knot in yarn. Instead of cutting it, try to work it out and once unraveled, have a straight line of yarn again. I will some more books coming soon, so please enjoy the ones I have out now.       Chapter 1

      Angela Rogers whistled to herself as she pulled the couch from the wall, angling it to where she could reach behind with the vacuum. Drake Johnson, her partner and boyfriend, had moved into her apartment since hers was much bigger, and now, it started to feel like a home.

      Drake was out at the FBI building, catching up on a case. It had been two months since they had discovered that Lilith’s minion had infiltrated the FBI. Things were somewhat normal, if the fact that Angela Rogers Morningstar was normal. The daughter of Lucifer, Lord of Hell, and a nephilim, Angela was anything but.

      Now she had a boyfriend, her partner at the FBI, and apparently no one cared or they looked the other way. Angela smiled to herself when remembering the fond memory of two weeks ago…

      Drake struggled with the fish on the hook. The large-mouth bass landed in the boat and tail-whipped Drake in the face, causing Angela to double over with laughter. He joined her after he managed to get it in the bucket.

      "Laughing at your boyfriend, Angie? You can catch the next one!"

      "Why? It’s much more fun watching you." She had stopped, breathless, long enough to say.
