About this ebook
Scrappy presents the secrets of success—and they're simple! —from Lexington, NC mom, Brandi Temple, founder of Lolly Wolly Doodle, one of the largest online retailers on Facebook.
Born from a hobby of sewing clothes for her daughters, Brandi Temple’s Lolly Wolly Doodle grew into one of the largest online retailers of children’s and family clothing. Brandi’s transition from a full-time mom to selling in flea markets to establishing a wildly successful e-Bay store and Facebook presence to becoming founder and CEO of a successful company was by no means easy, but each hardship only strengthened her resolve. Along the way, Brandi has kept both her faith and family at the forefront, while maintaining the positive attitude she is best known for.
A business story layered onto a winning personal narrative, Scrappy is packed with her homespun (and seriously killer smart) philosophy:
- Use all the scraps
- Press the reset button as many times as you want
- Know your customer by meeting her
- Always act on an “ah ha” moment
Brandi Temple
BRANDI TEMPLE is the founder and CEO of Lolly Wolly Doodle, a national retailer of children's clothing. Initially a full-time mom, the former pageant queen started sewing clothes for her daughters because she couldn't find anything affordable in stores that had the same innocence and charm. In a few short years, Lolly Wolly Doodle grew bigger than she could have imagined. Now a nationwide retailer, Lolly Wolly Doodle only continues to grow, with Steve Case, her biggest investor, predicting a billion-dollar valuation. Brandi lives in Lexington, North Carolina with her husband and their four kids.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A great personal story, and philosophy, of a woman who began, literally, by learning how to use up everything. She learned, as many of us did, how not to waste a thing. Eventually, she learned how to make a few dollars from her knowledge. And from there she progressed from flea markets to online selling, and has become the founder of a very lucrative business called Lolly Wolly Doodle. The insight is witty and fast paced. Temple tells us her personal story, with guidance on how we can replicate her success through a few easy (?) steps. (I personally have never found this kind of success, and have tried many of the steps she sets out, but they are supposed to work!) That all aside, I thoroughly enjoyed the read, and found it to be useful in many ways.I give this book five stars, and a big thumbs up!You can purchase this book on Amazon.com for $14.82 hardcopy and $11.99 ebook.
