    Kiss of the biker

    CHAPTER ONE

Carol had taken over Suzanne's bakery three years ago. Her Mom did not want to own the business anymore, tiring of the grind. Truth was, she never really enjoyed the people or the baking. But the bakery had become a town landmark under her grandmother's ownership. It thrived in the middle of Park Street, the main thoroughfare in their town of Alameda, California.

She wore a khaki skirt and a blue short sleeve shirt. Her hair was blonde with a pixie cut. Short but lithe, she had flat stomach that was not suggestive of someone who spent their days making donuts. Her eyes were a dark, clear blue and she greeted all of her customers with spark and a warm smile.

You're a sight for sore eyes there, Missy, said Fogerty as he approached the counter. The old man was a regular at the store and bought three sugar cookies every morning with a cup of coffee. You know, you look like an actress. I was watching this movie the other day. Her name is Michelle Williams. You heard of her?

Yeah, I think so, Carol said.

Blonde girl, right? You look just like her. You know. Wholesome. Girl next door type. But she's not as cute as you.

I was next, the woman said curtly as she stepped in front of the flirting old man.
