In a short sentence, we can say that juicing is basically extracting the juice of fruits and vegetables, drinking it, expecting it to provide better nutrition and health benefits as compared to solid food.
Many people, especially kids, hate eating fruits and vegetables. You can add any number of spices or flavors to them, and yet some people just cannot find the courage to gulp it down! However, no one can deny one fact: fruits and vegetables are essential for your health.
You cannot get all your nutrition from meats and dairy products. You need to eat some amount of fruits and vegetables on a daily basis. Experts recommend that an average person should consume two whole fruits and three to four vegetables a day. Select vegetables and fruits of different colors and you will be on your way to a life which is free of illnesses and full of energy and zest.
Easier said than done; what would you do if you hate vegetables and fruits? Simple, go for juices! You can just put your vegetables and fruits in a juicer and drink your healthy glass of minerals and vitamins daily. You can make the juice of one vegetable or one fruit and use it. Alternatively, you can make a nutritious glass of different vegetables or different fruits and enjoy it.
Nutrition experts say that one should consume whole fruits and vegetables as much as possible, even if you hate them. But experts also say that if you force yourself to eat something, you’ll probably not get as much health benefit from it as expected. So, what to do? Just make a glass of juice and drink!
Juicing is very useful for people who wouldn’t otherwise be consuming fruits and vegetables. It is also filling and healthy. One glass of juice will help provide the nutrition to get you started for the day. It is easy to digest and the nutrients get easily absorbed into the body. If you are always in a hurry and don’t have the time to sit for a quick breakfast, you can easily gulp down one glass of juice.
If you are concerned about the calories, you can watch what you put in your juices. There is no added sugar or fat in your juices, so you are not taking in any extra calories while consuming them. In fact, going on a juicing diet can actually help you lose weight.
Juicing is also considered to be great for cleansing of the body. Even if you use the juicing diet just once a week, it is going to help remove the toxins from your body, giving you a healthier body and glowing skin.
While some experts are all gung-ho about juicing there are others who don’t want you to completely rely on juicing diets. Now, what could be the reason for this? Juicing does provide you with all the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants present in the fruits or vegetables extracted. However, when you take out the juice, what is left behind is the fiber.
Fiber plays an important role in your health, especially if you are trying to lose weight. When you eat the whole fruit or vegetable, you get your fibers. However, when you drink just the juice, you lose out on the fibers.
However, there is always a solution for this. For example, you may want to add some of the pulp back into the juice. It won’t get you the same benefits as consuming the whole fruit, however it would surely help you add some fiber back into your juicing diet. Alternatively, you can add the pulp of the vegetables that you use for your juice
