About this ebook
A man comes to Tofino to find peace and solitude in a small coastal village town. He is taking a break from the big city life, taking time to clear his head after getting dumped at the altar, and to focus on his real passions - writing and photography.
But he stumbles upon a local legend of “The Beast of Tofino”, a mysterious Sea Monster who terrorizes the small town with ferocious storms.
As he unravels the mystery he encounters a beautiful, but mysterious local woman. As he gets closer to her he realizes that the woman, the legend, the town, and the mystery are interconnected.

I am from Regina (Sask. Canada), but now live between Kelowna and Vancouver. I have more than a few children, and I am 36 years old. I hate talking about myself, it's my least favorite subject. All I will say about myself is that in the poem by Frost "The Road Not Taken", I took neither path. I went right through the forest and created my own path, and have the scars to prove it.

A young man enters the local diner, one of the only spots to eat in the entire town. Clang, clang, clang,
the door chimes and he realizes that he is one of a handful of people in the entire diner. He is clearly out of place, a fish out of water, or a city boy in a very small town.
A big man with a long greying black beard approaches him with a coffee pitcher. He must be the host, waiter, and cook. Small towns eh, they're all the same. The big man greets him, good day young fellow
with a warm small-town smile. Table for one?
The younger man replies, yes sir, table for one please.
The younger man gets seated, takes his jacket off and orders coffee please, just black, and a water.
As the big man pours a coffee, and passes him a menu he says, welcome to Tofino. So are you a photographer, an adventurer or a writer?
Is it that obvious?
the younger man asks.
Yes sir, I know everyone in town, and it’s not quite tourist season here, so I figure you are here for either the storm season or for some nature photography. Or you are an adventurer, looking to do some extreme camping and hiking. Or you are a writer from the big city, looking for some R & R and also looking for a story.
Ha! Ya, I'm Jacob, and I am just looking to relax, write a bit, and maybe take a few photos. And you were right, I'm from Vancouver.
"Well I'm Boris, call me Bob, and this is my place. I’ll
