    Instructions, advices and introduction

The recreational activity you are going to do is called reading. First you need to generate an anthropomorphic organic body, made of flesh and blood, equipped with two eyeballs with a resolution of at least 100 megapixels black/white, with a color depth of the cone cells of 10.000.0000 bpp (bits per pixel). We are talking of recreating an imperfect corporeality, similar to that of the Ancient Humans, characterized by ape-like intelligence and by the limited duration of life. For my part I encourage you to focus not so much on the failings of the organic mannequins you will use, but rather on the various systems of writing that you are going to experience. Both as simple passive users, as readers, and as active producers of written material, filling in this way the ancient role of writer.

First we will start by presenting you a sequence of symbols, which you can view on any kind of material you want, granite, parchment, papyrus, paper, or electronic text, depending on your taste. For my part, I'd avoid the use of archaic materials, such as clay tablets or stone slabs, which can be inconvenient and uncomfortable. Given the impossibility of browsing the monoliths with bas-reliefs or the fragments of carved earthenware, I would highly recommend the use of a volume of paper material. This is a collection of printed sheets, gathered and protected by a special wrapper said cover. The nature of the paper used, as well as the ink needed to impress the necessary written symbols, is left to your discretion. I also ask you do not make use of anti-ecological or ethically questionable products, because they caused cruelty toward animals. In the past not only an incalculable amount of sheep, goats and calves were killed in order to be able to derive the sheets of parchment from their skins, but whole forests were destroyed so they could become working material in paper mills. For my part, I would like that such horrors never happen again, thanks. Well, your book, or volume, can be read keeping it open with both hands and comfortably resting on the knees. According to season, weather and time you can choose if you should read outdoors, or indoors, in an artificially illuminated environment or not. The ideal, hearing the opinion of some Ancient Humans, is reading at mid-morning within a garden. If you are able to recreate a similar environment, with several plants and the ideal degree of coolness, you can enjoy the pleasure of a unique experience. Remember that at night, unless you get bionic eyeballs with a night vision system, you will need a suitable artificial lighting in order to perform properly this activity.

That being said, I wish you my dear and beloved disciples a good read. That all of you can find the same pleasure and the same benefit I have found.
