A pretty rubbish book, the ideas are not anything all that groundbreaking and some of them are straight up nonsense. - Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5

Introduction
There are lots of exciting businesses that you can start.
My name is Bob Adams. I have started dozens of businesses and made millions of dollars. I also have an MBA from Harvard Business School. I have run not just lots of businesses, but also many types of businesses, including a number of very small businesses that I ran before going to business school.
BusinessTown.com founder Bob Adams started many businesses for under $2,000.
I learned what works in business. And I learned what doesn’t work. I learned what are good businesses and what are not. I have also learned that you don’t need lots of money or experience to start most businesses.
While this is a long list of business ideas—I have carefully pruned it for you. I started out with an initial list that was more than twice as long…and ruthlessly chopped off the weaker business ideas that I didn’t want you to consider starting.
Note that many of these ideas could have been listed in more than the single category I placed them in. But I thought it would easier and more interesting for you, if I only listed each business once.
Many business ideas only require a small investment.
If you are really want to be your own boss and build a highly successful business, I am sure that you will find an idea that you really like in my extensive list! And once you have chosen your idea, help insure your success by watching the hundreds of videos on topics like strategy and marketing at BusinessTown.com.
Here are a few other videos that I particularly recommend that you watch as you think about starting a business:
- 5 Myths About Starting Your Own Business
- 12 Questions Before You Start a Business
- 7 Keys to Starting a Successful Business
- The success stories in the section: Success: How to Achieve It
And here are some other articles/videos featuring business ideas that I have created:
- 42 Home-Based Businesses You Can Start Today
- 21 Easy-To-Start Part-Time Businesses
- Businesses You Can Start with $2,000 or Less
- Businesses You Can Start with $2,000 to $10,000
- Businesses You Can Start with $10,000 to $25,000
- The Best and Worst Businesses You Can Start
As you evaluate different business possibilities, I urge you to take your time, and choose your business carefully-it will be one of the most important decisions you ever make!
Choosing a business idea is one of the most important business decisions that you will ever make.
I see many people choosing a very difficult business idea, and then they spend the rest of their business life struggling under the yoke of a poor decision.
In fact, most people don’t really choose
a business idea at all. They just kind of drift into a business choice because they have a little experience in the field, are familiar with it, or they just like the idea.
Don’t let that happen to you! Choose a business idea thoughtfully and systematically.
Take your time to peruse hundreds of possible ideas. Then narrow down your list to the top contenders. Finally, analyze the success potential of each of these businesses carefully before making your final decision.
Don’t rush the decision of which business is best for you! Get all the information that you can. Watching the videos on BusinessTown.com on various aspects of business from strategy to marketing and thinking about the implications for your potential business choice will help you make the best decision. For example, you might ask yourself Is this an easy business to market?
or Is this a business that I can differentiate from existing competitors?
Have a great business day!

You can start this business in your garage with just one item!
Developing your expertise is crucial for this business idea.
Start part time and build this business carefully! Only buy items you are confident that you can sell relatively quickly for a good mark-up, and avoid getting stuck with slow moving inventory. To really succeed, develop deep expertise in a specialty and build a loyal customer base.
Art Gallery
I see two routes to success in this business: 1) Focus on artists with well-established followings that you are comfortable that you can sell or 2) Take on less well-known artists on a consignment basis, meaning you don’t actually buy the painting from the artist until the day you sell it. This can be a finicky business-people’s tastes can change and a gallery that is successful one year can find itself struggling enough. So, keep your overhead manageable and watch for changing trends.
Bartending Service
Sign up for a bar-tending course at the local community college or adult education center, get a safety certificate if your state requires it, and then you’re ready to start serving. Usually the client will provide the booze and the glasses, you might
