    PROLOGUE

Rebeca’s footsteps sounded off the walls of the alley. The sharp clacks against the pavement somehow conveyed a hurried sort of nervousness, but she didn’t know why she was so anxious.

She walked over to the Local telephone booth to make a call, as she felt someone was keeping an eye on her, it was barely after dark—far earlier than usual. something tonight was making her skin crawl.

She shuddered against the cold and picked up the pace as she rushed to the forensic lab.

The mouth of the alley opened up just a few more steps away, and she hurried her pace to a jog. She was in one of the safest cities of Pennsylvania, in the country and had no reason to be so panic-stricken.

When she reached the mouth of the alley, she stopped, looking around and breathing a sigh of relief.

She entered the big forensic lab, kept the important documents in the drawer, and went inside to have a glass of water from the water cooler.

who’s it? She yelled, as she heard some footsteps inside the lab, she saw someone facing the opposite side wearing a black hat, God, you scared me. She told the person who was now standing right in front of her wearing a black trench coat, she took a sigh of relief, It’s in the drawer, take it out, my hands are wet. She bawled from the hall, well done Rebecca, I’m proud of you. Said the person in a heavy voice. Rebecca smiled.

Well, too bad for her for it became the last smile of her life,

No. She screamed as the Person in the black hoodie stabbed her a few times with a knife, she fell down on her back, blood smeared all over the place, even after getting stabbed multiple times, she struggled hard and tried to get a hold on the gun kept at a distance, but the person in the black coat did not let her move and kept stabbing her until it made sure that Rebecca was dead, this is what you deserve, scumbag.

The person then dragged her all the way to the chair and made her settle down on it covering her with Rebecca’s coat, it took the documents and tore them apart before putting them into a plastic bag and walked out of the crime scene.

    CHAPTER 1

In the world full of people, trying their caliber best to propagate, or to have fame, Sandra Williams was trying her best to get her family back together.

In the mere age of 18, she had to fight a plethora of her inner demons, that didn’t let her live in the clear daylight and didn’t let her sleep in the night She perceived voices, screaming and calling her name, Paranoid, isn’t it?

She Lived with her Mother and an elder brother in the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia.

People thought she was timid and helpless, A few people withal suggested that she should be sent to a rehab center, but for what? What person can be sane when their brother is a drug addict? When their mother is a professor in one of the best universities, but stays broken and expressionless most of the time? When their father left them on their own when they were just 8 years-old?

For people, she might be whacky and lunatic, but for her, every day was a battle with herself and her inner voices. She knew, she knew how to start a conversation, how to allude people into believing how oriented her life was.

While in reality, she was a living soul inside a dead human body, who had no reasons to be happy.

Even while she heard voices and visually perceived things, some people didn’t treat her as shit. She had friends, just 2, but they doted her immensely, Blake and Brad. contrary to fact, she couldn’t genuinely show or tell them her side of the love and affection.

They knew her dilemmas and chaos and promised themselves to avail her in every step she takes.

Teachers in her school adored her, she was the sort of student every teacher in the world desires to have; quiet, scholar and reticent. Being so much that she was, still found no jubilance in whatsoever she opted, for she didn’t have her family to celebrate it with, her mother, Claudia Williams, and brother, Aiden Williams were not on the best terms with each other.

She got aggressive with every passing week, every day, she looked outside the window and had many conceptions, jumping out of the window, or maybe hurting herself, even tried it, a plethora of times, but miserably failed as she didn’t have enough guts to try something of that sort.

She was helpless, indeed. She read it somewhere, hurting yourself gives more pleasure and thought how lame a person could be. She was hurting herself every day but still didn’t find gratification.

She had her eyes locked outside the gigantic window of her room which showed most of the neighborhood, as well as Ethan Martinez’s house, who lived right in front of her house. She liked him, from the day one of junior high school, but never had the audacity to go up to him and tell him, well, her demons were always around her for breaking her dauntlessness.

He moved in her neighborhood a few months ago due to a rapid fire at his mansion on the upper east side, where all the rich people resided.

She curled one of her loose tendrils with her fingers while gazing at the broken lock of the window, she bent towards it and started peeling the paint off the window, a notification on her laptop drew her attention towards it.

There was an unofficial school website which was handled by an anonymous person who posted
