Hello there my name is A.J. Martinez and I am a fantasy author living in the state of Connecticut USA. I walk with my head as high as the clouds and my feet on the ground. I am on a journey to become a full time writer and do nothing but write novels of warriors, mages, lore, magic, summons and unspeakable mystical powers. These stories in my head are trying to find a way to manifest and writing its the way to bring the world of Odealeous to life. My desire is to write fantasy stories that will make one soar with the wings of Icarus. To write heart pounding stories to make one wish that the pages will never end. To write stories in a world beyond Hogwarts and Middle Earth and on to the world of Odealeous. To write stories that make one think of the stars of the night during daylight. Stories that make one see rare colors and hear sweet songs only the sirens sing by a glowing river. To tell stories where the arts of the mystic and dragons seem as though they had gone extinct. I write what I dream about and dream so that I can write. I am quite a geek and I am a big time Anime fan. I enjoy going to conventions with my friends and rave parties. My favorite movie is “the matrix” I never get tire of watching it. That is a short summary of me. Sorry, I am better at describing my stories and characters than myself. Any questions don’t hesitate to contact me.

Tarja Of The Snow - AJ Martinez
Tarja of the Snow
It was a day like no other in the North Glacier. An endless field of ice. A world painted in hues of white and blue by its attribute. Tarja had been gazing at the same sea and sky since the day she was born in Crystal Meadows. Always wondering what was beyond the land of ice and yet, afraid to leave the comfort of her home. Some men on boat left the North Glacier to trade and bring back goods from the lands of earth. Tarja had heard of trees, grass and flowers, but there were no such things in the land of ice. She had seen paintings that were brought from sailors across the ocean of plants and animals, yet she never felt the urge to travel to those lands.
Tarja was a princess of Crystal Meadows with simple pleasures. At the age of seventeen she began to sneak out of the ivory castle and wander the fields. She mounted her loyal polar bear and it ran through hills and fields of snow, an infinity of ice. She cared not of what would happen once she returned home, Tarja just wanted to relish the feeling of adventure and to finally step out of the city.
The cold wind on my skin and my hair. Oh, Yfigus, it’s a relief to be out here in the open,
she said.
Yfigus had trekked through the snow with Tarja on his back for two days since they had left the city. He was a large bear of the north, eight feet in height. Yfigus grunted and growled as he ran, upset at Tarja for leaving the castle without permission.
Oh, relax Yfigus. If anyone is going to get in trouble is going to be me. I will take all the blame. Anything is better than being stuck in that castle.
Tarja patted the bear’s white fur and her body bounced as Yfigus galloped. Her hair streamed in the wind as dark as night. Her skin could camouflage with the snow for it was just as white. She sneezed and wiped her nose that was as small as a kitten’s. Tarja was a small girl, only four and half feet tall. Yfigus dwarfed her, making her seem like a toddler cloaked in fur from head to toe.
Up ahead she saw Isus Port, a frosty shore where men of Crystal Meadows fished and embarked to the green lands. A village of Igloos resided east of the port. Already ships left the North Glacier with hundreds of sailors all cloaked in grey and white fur.
I wonder if Kimiat is here?
she asked herself. Her friend Kimiat was a warrior and he would leave the city many times with his men. She knew that he spent much time in Isus Port, it was part of his job to aid the sailors and defend against the grey creatures that came from the sky.
She hid under the shadow of a hill, afraid that the warriors and sailors would see her. Last thing I want is for these men to take me by force back to the
