About this ebook
She lay on the bed surrounded by concrete and bricks, roughly hewn from strong men’s hands, but behind closed eyes she saw the sea. The soft billowing curtains covered not the ugliness of man but a dappled ocean. She could hear the waves and taste the salty cool breeze that touched her lips. It stretched and expanded in her mind’s eye; embodying a nameless yearning that she carried near her heart. It pulsed and pulled, throbbed and soothed, molding itself into a memory.
