- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is an excellent book on railroading in North America. There are many entries on all aspects of rairoads, their history and technology. The main encyclopedic section is framed by essays on their development and operating practice in the front; and by data, maps, glossary, and bibliography in the back. This reference book should be part of every railfan's collection.
