Hi everyone! Today I'm here to tell you my story as well as the story of my first book.I was 12 years old when I'd started writing the book and 16 when I finished. So the whole job took four years, though with some intervals. During that time I made a lot of changes: added, subtracted, improved (or made worse, who knows :) . Anyway, I hope that you'll enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. And I want to let you know that I deeply appreciate your opinions and can't wait to receive your sincere rating.

THE SEVEN WONDERS
PART three
Babylon and the
Hanging gardens
Chapter nineteen
Dispute in the Hanging Gardens
The girls had sailed over the Mediterranean Sea. Babylon was the last point of their journey along the seven wonders of the ancient world. Despite the splendour and magnificence of the ancient cities, our travellers were longing for returning home.
We can join some caravan. We’ll easily get to Babylon with a caravan
.
I saw several caravans, gathering at the south gate of the town. Let’s go there, perhaps we’ll find a caravan going to Babylon,
suggested Hasine.
The girls agreed.
The Gate of the Goddess Ishtar
Some weeks passed by.
They had approached the destination.
Girls, it’s the Interfluves! We’re in Mesopotamia. We’ll be in Babylon before long,
Sanam woke up her slumbering friends.
A verdurous oasis and a full-flowing river were to be seen over the horizon.
After some hours the friends saw a citadel with eight gates. The majestic Tower of Babel was to be seen from far away.
The caravan entered the city through the main gate – The Gate of the Goddess Ishtar. The girls parted with caravanmates the merchants and went to look for the famous Gardens.
The caravan entered the city through the main gate – The Gate of the Goddess Ishtar.
Babylon was the city of splendour! Glorious ziggurats (Mesopotamian temples), uproarious bazaars and boiling life in the ancient corners of the city made a very vivid impression on the girls. Unfortunately, they simply couldn’t ramble around and make merry because they were in hurry to get to the Pensile Gardens. They were walking very fast. Suddenly, Amira crashed with a boy, going past her.
Hey, watch your step! Don’t you see I’m in a hurry?
reprimanded the boy angrily.
Hey, you!
responded Amira with much more angriness. You know who I am? I am...
Amira, come on faster!
I am the niece of the Emperor of Babylonia, his Majesty Nebuchadnezzar! I’m sure you’ll regret a lot when you’ll be punished for your discourtesy!
said Amira and in a pompous fashion, went after her friends.
Uproarious bazaars and boiling life in the ancient corners of the city made a very vivid impression on the girls.
Finally, the girls got to the Gardens. The entrance was guarded by a number of guardians. The friends didn’t slow down, on contrary, they went directly to them.
Let us in, if you please, we’re here with a really serious affair
.
Hadn’t the guardians have time to object, Sanam went on:
Yes, we know you’re ordered to guard the Garden and allow nobody in
.
But we do have serious business. Deadly serious, indeed,
supported Amira.
Or maybe, call the principal gardener, at least. He’ll explain everything,
Hasine said aloud and – I hope so anyway,
she added, whispering.
Let them in. It’s me who invited them here,
the gardener came out. I take all the responsibility on me
.
So the girls were allowed in. Amira thanked the gardener for his kindness. He was an old man with long, snow-white beard.
Why did you say to the guardians that you’d invited us, though you hadn’t?
asked Amira. Or, was our arrival mentioned in some legend? As in Egypt, eh?
Amira grinned.
The gardener smiled.
A legend? Alas, no. Not in any legend and not in any prediction I can’t remember mentioning of your coming. Was there any?
No, no, there wasn’t. Simply, we’re surprised at that how you could so easily let us in, strange men, probably foreigners, let in to the garden, which is guarded almost as strongly as royal treasure is...
The old gardener grinned, quite laughing at the young ladies’ curiosity.
So you think a proper legend would be an excuse for my allowing you in. However, I had a more valid reason instead – you were longing for the Gardens and the Gardens were longing for you
.
They did not understand the meaning of these words completely. But they gave questions no more.
Come along, ladies, to the Hanging Gardens,
the gardener led them to a three-storied edifice. That was a wondrous erection. It hadn’t any walls – all the building stood on high, stout columns. It was built from clay bricks and the each storey was covered with thick layer of soil. Substance, the edifice consisted of created the optimal condition for planting and growing.
The gardener described
