London I love you,

My heart skips a beat,

Knowing I'm on my way to see you,

Savour every moment in your streets,

High buildings,

The atmosphere,

I even like the noise,

I drink in your splendor,

It doesn't annoy,

Walk ways bursting with people,

The road overspill,

With rickshaws, hired bikes,

All adds to the thrill,

Of a capitol city,

Vibrant,

Fast paced,

But I always take time to stop and admire,

Beautiful architecture,

Gaze into shop windows,

I hope I never tire,

Of the buzz,

Even The Underground Line,

Pavements glistening with so much stardust,

Your skyline gleams,

When I'm unable to be there in reality,

I visit you in dreams.

Still in amazement,

Awed, captured,

Engulfed by the moment,

When wonderment cast a cloak,

My senses heightened,

I re-piece the day over and over,

Scared the memories will fade,

Lose their bright, gold threaded shimmering hue,

A life changing
