About this ebook

All it takes is one second. One stupid move. One click of a cell phone.

When Callie discovers Katherine sprawled on the ground, she bends down to help her. It's only natural—the party's been a bit wild. And it's only natural for her to pull out the fake knife, irritated at one more example of Katherine's callous disregard of other people's feelings. But the knife is real . . . and bloody. And then Callie hears the click of one cell phone, followed by another, and another. In minutes, images of her holding the bloody knife have gone viral.

Now wanted for murder, Callie is on the run from the police. All the evidence points to her guilt, but she's determined to prove her innocence, which means . . . the real killer is still out there.

I have read all of Todd Strasser's Thrillogy series and I loved them all. They all have so many twists and turns that always keep the reader guessing. Everytime I thought I knew "who did it" in every single book of the series, I was wrong! This is what makes a great suspense tale.
I am hoping Todd is planning more books like this series. Even though I found the books in the YA section of my local library, they are fantastic suspense stories and I will definitely be watching for more by this author!

Katherine, the high school's queen bee, is stabbed and killed during a party. Callie is seen holding the knife after discovering the body. Callie goes on the run to try to prove her innocence. Flashbacks are incorporated within the text to give the backstory of the events leading up to the murder. The narration is varied, although mostly from Callie's point of view other conversations and character's backstories are interspersed. This second from the Thrillology takes place in the same town as Wish You Were Dead. There was a lot going on which kept me in the dark and turning pages, and I was disappointed by Slade and Callie's relationship. In the end, I wasn't feeling the payoff like I was with Wish You Were Dead.
