Sanders bent his head down and took the line of coke right off of...well, Sanders couldn’t quite remember the name of the woman whose tits he was doing the line of coke off of.

Yes! she shouted nonetheless, and Sanders continued to drill into her as her bare ass beat against the bathroom stall.

It took just seconds for the cocaine to hit Sanders right where he’d wanted it to, and suddenly his second wind had come.  He began drilling into the woman harder and harder, the large hoop earrings hanging out of her curly blond hair now beating against the stall wall as well.

Say my name, bitch! Say my name!

The look of concentration on Sanders’ face was replaced by one of shocked-terror as his eyes went wide.

Say my fucking name! she yelled again.

Sanders bit his lip. Here goes.

    Susan!

The woman – Sanders had immediately known it was the wrong name before it was halfway out of his mouth – opened her eyes.

What the fuck’d you call me?

    "Uh...Nancy?"

Her face screwed up. You fuck! she shouted as she pushed Sanders out of her and back against the opposite wall of the stall.  Sanders had seen women pull up their panties and fasten their bras quickly, but this woman could do it like no other.

She gave Sanders a dirty look while looking up from her work and caught his eyes zeroed-in on her chest.  She glanced down and saw a fair-sized bump of coke sitting there, and smiling, wiped it up with her finger before rubbing it on her gums.

News might say you’re a hero, she said as she sashayed that ass right past him, unlocked the stall, and headed out into the female-bathroom-proper, but you just look like shit to me.

She laughed and let the door swing shut. It slammed and Sanders shuddered involuntarily before pulling his pants back up. He waited a few seconds then headed back out into the bar.

    2 – The West End

Turn that shit off, Mel, Sanders said as he got back up to the bar.

    But Sanders, they’re sayin’–

    Turn it off, Mel!

Alright, alright, Mel muttered under his breath as he threw the bar rag up on his shoulder and reached for the TV remote, switching it to a pre-season NFL game.

Sanders eased into his bar stool and stared forward into the mirror behind the shelves of glasses.  The woman – Susan he still thought of her as (where the fucked I get that name?) – was nowhere to be seen.

Must’ve left with her friend, Sanders thought as he picked up his glass of whiskey, or what was left of it, which was probably just melted ice by this time he figured.  He threw it back nonetheless and was about to–

"Sanders, Sanders...nice to finally run into you!"

Sanders’ eyes shot forward to the mirror across the bar and he managed to keep his visage straight while his mind was shouting fuck!  He spun around on his barstool.

Mickey, Sanders said, looking right up into the face of his dealer, nemesis and sometime-friend.  He was a man that was grizzled beyond his years, his mid-40s age looking closer to 60 from all the wear and tear he’d put himself through.  There were scars over his eyes, under them, and around his ears. His blond hair was now a permanent dirty and receding fast. At least three teeth were missing on the
