    Chapter 14 from the Open Bible Translation of Mark. The Open Bible is a translation of the New Testament produced in simple English that is easy to understand. It has been produced to enable anyone to create their own video and audio recordings etc of the Bible without any legal restrictions.
    Chapter 14 is an action packed chapter which speaks of the betrayal of Jesus by one of His own disciples, Judas Iscariot. There is also the prayer in Gethsemane where Jesus passionately prays that God would turn away the bitter cup of suffering from Him. The chapter also records how the Chief Priests arrested Jesus, but struggled to find any valid testimony against Him. Finally the chapter ends with Peter, one of Jesus' closest disciples, denying that he knows Jesus, even though he (Peter) just earlier that day declares that he will never do this.
