About this ebook

Unlock the more straightforward side of Persuasion with this concise and insightful summary and analysis!

This engaging summary presents an analysis of Persuasion by Jane Austen, which tells the story of a young woman who had to refuse a proposal from the man she loved for practical reasons, and is reunited with him eight years later. This gripping love story is set in the Georgian era and the world-famous author realistically depicts the condition of women at the time, to the point where there is some debate as to whether this novel should not be considered an early feminist novel. Austen was on the first women to find success as a novelist without using a pseudonym to hide her gender which also contributes to the idea her work is a feminist novel. She is widely regarded as one of the top writers of the 19th century and her books have inspired many film and television adaptations.
