About this ebook

A suspense thriller, based on a popular video games series created by Scott Cawthon.

“Five Nights at Freddy’s” takes place at “Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza” chain restaurants, between the years 1973 and 2015. It tells the stories of the night watch security guards, Jeremy Fitzgerald and Mike Schmidt, who are forced to deal with party animatronics, that turn into dangerous predators during the nights.
On top of that, the disappearance of children and strange phenomenons that occur around the restaurants suggest that an even darker secret is being kept between the restaurants walls.

The book is an unofficial fan-fiction, and was written after researching the story and the clues found in the games “Five Nights at Freddy’s” 1 to 3. It portrays my version of the story, according to my interpretations , logical assumptions and imagination.

A Father, a husband, pets lover, gamer, electrical engineer, mountain biker, a storyteller, and an Israeli. What else?I wrote my first fiction novel when I was seven years old. It was a detective story with cats as the main protagonists. Ever since then I have been busy doing engineering stuff, until I took a break and moved to USA for a while with my family.I had the opportunity to spend more time with my kid, who is a more serious gamer than I and even maintain a Youtube gamer channel. I soon got acquainted with the Freddy Fazbear series of games, and together with my son explored the hints and the theories about the story behind the games. The result of the exploration was my first published eBook "Five Nights at Freddy's".

I thought this was very well written. The plot line was engaging. It’s also heartwarming that this book was a tribute to your son. However, I found the characterization to be lacking. The character of Jeremy seemed unrealistic and so did the children. The writing was very plain, and some more descriptive writing could have been used here. I feel as though overall it could have been more original, but the result was a pleasant read.

Five Nights at Freddy's - Amir Sher

Part One

The Purple Guy

Chapter 1

Fredbear’s Family Diner, 1973

Jeremy’s eighth birthday was supposed to be his happiest day. He knew Mom and Dad would buy him the purple bicycle he wanted so much, and he knew he would meet with all his friends and eat cake together, but nevertheless he was very anxious.

Something about these Animatronics, with their sharp endoskeleton teeth and nasty smiles, gave him the chills.

Ever since his first visit to Fredbear’s Family Diner, at Tom’s birthday party, he could not forget how scared he was when those Animatronics got on stage. For anyone else they were cute singing mascots, but for him they were monstrous.

There was Bonnie - a lavender rabbit animatronic, with his red guitar. Chica - a yellow animatronic chicken who carries a pink cupcake. Foxy - a large red animatronic fox, with a hook for his right hand, and an eye patch over his right eye. These hideous creatures were orchestrated by none other then Fredbear - a yellowish-brown bear animatronic, who wears a purple top hat and a bowtie, while wielding a microphone in his right paw.

The last time Jeremy was in Fredbear’s Family Diner, he was able to avoid the Animatronics. But today was his birthday! He knew they would get him up to the stage and dance around him.

Last night he even had a terrible nightmare about Fredbear who was biting his head while all the kids were dancing and laughing…

When Jeremy and his parents entered the diner they were greeted by a man dressed in a golden Fredbear costume. Golden Fredbear put a purple party hat on Jeremy’s head and showed him to his table, in front of the stage.

The other kids came shortly after, with their presents and wide smiles. Jeremy almost forgot about the Animatronics, and was playing with his friends, until Fredbear got on stage, followed by Foxy, Chica and Bonnie.

The Animatronics band started to sing and play, and suddenly Jeremy felt a big furry hand clutching his shoulder. It was the Golden Fredbear guy, who grabbed his hand firmly and pulled him up to the stage.

Jeremy closed his eyes. He remembered his nightmare and suddenly it felt so real.

The Animatronics surrounded him and played a birthday song for him.

They’re just puppets …  Jeremy told himself. They can’t harm me. They are cute and innocent…

He tried to crack a smile, but all he remembered was Fredbear biting his head in his nightmare.

Suddenly Fredbear grabbed his hand. Jeremy tried to pull his hand away but the grab was tight and firm!

Jeremy felt his tears pouring down his face and cried, Please! No! Let me go!

Fredbear looked at him and Jeremy felt his sinister eyes burning through his soul. Fredbear’s hold grew tighter, and Jeremy felt his hand become wet from sweat and blood.

Jeremy pulled his wet hand away and pushed Fredbear’s face with his bloody hand, leaving a red palm print on the brown bear’s head.

Jeremy looked around and saw his friends staring at him with amusement, some of them were laughing and pointing their fingers at him. Then he realized he wet his pants and everybody could see the growing stain!

His friends’ laughter grew louder as Jeremy jumped off the stage and ran to the front doors.

Chapter 2

Fredbear’s Family Diner, 1983

Jeremy was excited to finally drive alone, unsupervised, in his purple 1976 Chevy El-Camino. He entered his car and drove aimlessly around the empty streets.

It was Sunday morning and the streets were calm and quiet. He felt like the captain of his boat, sailing across red, orange and yellow autumn leaves.

Suddenly he stopped at the corner. On his left he saw Fredbear’s Family Diner. He did not know how and why his car led him to this place. He had not stepped a foot in there since his horrible eighth birthday, and suddenly the memories came rushing back.

Through the front window he could see a birthday party going on.

He was about to drive away, when he saw a child emerging from the front door and collapsing in the parking lot.

This image reminded him of Fredbear’s holding and crushing his hand. His heart skipped a beat.

He turned off the engine and got out of the car. While he was pacing towards the little boy, he was not sure whether he felt more sorry for him or more angry.

The boy was crouching on the asphalt, sobbing. His hair was ginger and his skin was pale, but his eyes and cheeks were red and wet from crying.

Jeremy put a firm hand on the boy’s shoulder. Don’t cry, Don't cry! He said, partly comforting and partly commanding. But the boy continued.

Jeremy’s voice became more restless. Stop crying! He did not want the boy to be ridiculed by his friends. He did not want the boy to be afraid. Don’t be a wuss!

Jeremy looked up and saw Fredbear staring at him through the glass doors.

Jeremy’s hand moved from the boy’s shoulder to the back of his neck. Stop crying! They are just stupid puppets from a stupid diner!
