About this ebook
How do you cope with extinction? Do you accept it and fade away into nothing, or do you fight the inevitable? In the brutal aftermath of a global war, pockets of survivors around the world have chosen to fight. In the harsh light of day they face one another. On lone highways and in desolate towns, humans prey upon humans. As night falls a far more terrible fate awaits. A horrible creature dwells in the darkness; its purpose is to eradicate humankind. The world is full of monsters: those with human faces and those who eat human faces. This is the end... how do you cope with extinction?
"There was something bleak and hideous somewhere in this house. Daniel could feel shadowy hands reaching out to him: a residual haunting that screamed in silence, yet resonated throughout the hollow walls. Reluctantly, he made his way to the staircase leading up to the second floor. The heaviness intensified and the air began to taste foul as he ascended. What he was searching for was waiting for him up these stairs; he knew it was there and he knew that he had to see it. He didn’t want to see it, but the souls of those murdered by the monsters demanded acknowledgment. If he did not give it to them, they would haunt him forever."
Coleman Thompson
Hello everyone! My name is Coleman Thompson; I was born in Southern California in 1982 and lived in the Mojave Desert for eighteen years. Now I am currently living in Northeastern Arkansas. I've been writing books since before I even entered kindergarten. I received a few accolades in my grammar school days, but I seem to have hit my peak a little early and have been fairly silent for the last few... decades. I've always been writing in some form or another; mostly for myself as a hobby/drug. I love creating things - I'm a very creative individual. Not necessarily a talented one, but definitely creative! I've mostly specialized in essays and short stories, but I have finally completed my first actual book. If anyone actually reads it I really hope you like it and I hope I can birth a few more before I croak. Many, many thanks to everybody who has given me a chance. It means the world to me. :) I wish joys and peace to all you crazy people. Stay well, my friends.
