I like that this book can be used as a teaching tool for a type of writing. I enjoy Katie. The book only gets 3 stars because I was uncomfortable reading it; and, I often had to reread the main text after Katie's Star Tips. I think the format is a little too distracting to make a good easy reader.

It would still be a valuable read aloud for a class working on writing projects.
