The librarian was not what Alice expected.
Stuffy air in the warm office made her light headed. Tucked in a corner under the roof, a small window was open but nothing drifted in except the sounds of the campus below.
The librarian, Soren Parrish, had wild, dark hair and a disarming grin. Combined with bright eyes, he was dangerously handsome for a librarian. A girl could develop a thing for bookworms.
He circled around her, inspecting her. Alice stood with her shoulders back, chin firm and eyes straight ahead. She would not allow any signs of nervousness. Alice carried a medium sized box; while not heavy, her arms grew weary. She shifted the package’s weight to her hip.
Parrish took the box and set it on his desk. Do you know why you’re here, Miss Lynn?
Is it about my book report? Because I swear the dog ate it.
A smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth. Try again.
Are my books overdue? Because you got fine written all over you.
Closer. Mr. Aquetong requested private tutoring for you.
His voice was bored.
Alice shivered. Yes. They discussed if Alice would like lessons. A week’s training, Mr. Aquetong told her. She’d stay in a comfortable hotel and do everything her instructor commanded, and it would add a new layer to their play. She liked the idea of an edifying field trip but disliked being apart.
He says you are a defiant and willful submissive. You disobey commands from your dom. Is this true?
Parrish returned to his desk and opened the box, splitting the taped seam with a pair of scissors. Whatever was in the box made him smile and it was a smile to melt panties. What she wouldn’t give to be on the receiving end of such a smile.

He didn’t even look up when he spoke to her.

The word was heavy in her mouth, like a pebble she needed to learn to enunciate around.
