About this ebook
This is not a love story. This is a flirtation, a romance of two people who by chance crossed each other’s paths at the counter of a department store.
Who would have guessed the sweater counter at Barney’s New York could have brought a pair of very different souls together?
But, for Caren Barrett, an adwoman with a gift for snappy lines and aptly placed words, and Greggory Pallard, a wunderkind of industrial audio and video production; attraction of two opposing personalities came as each grasped a wintergreen cable knit sweater.
Millionaire on the world stage, Pallard had a reputation for varied levels of chaos in his life, including a penchant for models and starlets across the globe.
Smart and shy, Barrett was the epitome of a Laura Ashley advertisement. Refined and without a need to blow her own horn at accomplishments in the ad firm she worked at, she kept her head low and her smile ever coy.
Two people, so seemingly different, had something in common – an eagerness for a new horizon.
Greggory Pallard and Caren Barrett were not looking for love or some grand romance; but, what they uncovered in each other was an adventure of the heart and soul, which was unexpected.
Life and relationships can be like a home cooked meal. But, sometimes something different was on fate’s menu. A.H. Scott delivers destiny in “Takeout”.

"It all begins between the ears". - A.H. ScottABOUT A.H. SCOTT -A.H. Scott is an author of fiction of varied styles. From contemporary to historical; she brings characters into stark view. Romances ever so sweet and tender to adventures of legends from far-away lands, her writing can take a readers’ imagination to places of courage, passion, pride, and sojourn of enlightenment. Yet, don’t be fooled, A.H. Scott does not let her pen rest on a single note of simplicity. She delves into desires within the heart with characters of sensuality and decadent lust. Women of abandon and men of lascivious intent intermingle in plots of hedonistic havens. Beyond the stars or right next door, her fiction soars and swirls with touches of light and excursions into shadow.========================A.H. Takeout - A.H. Scott
Province of money for Greggory Pallard had never been the issue in giving away the most luxurious gifts. Money for him, in some ways was a bore. Not because he didn’t love it. Of course he did. But, it was for another reason. Appreciation turned to be the key for this man’s sense of satisfaction. For him, it seemed after a while of wining, dining and bestowing bobbles, any woman he was with began to take it as a given that he was the golden goose to be plucked by just a hot and heavy tussle in satin sheets.
At the present, he wanted a break from an invisible box of what was expected of a single, male millionaire in his personal dealings with women.
Caren Barrett had become an intriguing detour for Greggory Pallard.
Greggory watched Caren from across the table as he sipped his wine thinking about how good it was just to enjoy her company without any unseen burdens, You’re a far more fascinating woman than you give yourself credit for
.
Before tonight, Caren would have figured this man was drunk in saying that. She paused and looked around at the fanciful surroundings of the moment and softly smiled at him, Takes fascination to know fascination

Openings
Beginning a new relationship was an opening of sorts, as the chapter of curiosity and companionship revealed itself to Greggory Pallard and Caren Barrett.
Lunching on soft pretzels and hot dogs from a cart near Radio City Music Hall for their first meal together, to a few conversations over coffee and French fries in those following weeks; none were considered a true date by either of them.
That status of casual contact changed, when Greggory actually made
