The Tales will be mainly themed in the genre of the supernatural, though will cover a host of genres with changing short stories; or the continuation of longer stories as told in a serial chapter format.

These works have been created by members of an online community, The Arcane Light, and endeavors to promote the written word and story-crafting by giving those wanting to develop their own writing style an outlet for their creativity.

The Organizers; A Wallet
The enigmatic duo relish in some well-earned downtime - until they are summoned to their newest task; one strangely ill-suited to their abilities, yet passed onto them by their unseen masters.

Silken Whispers - Casefile: The Butterfly

For the kids of the slums, the night is the worst time if you don't have somewhere inside to sleep or a fire to lie by.

For Niah'a, the nights when his mother didn't come home were some of the worst. His feelings for her always ran hot and cold: between the love a son gives his mother, and hatred. But these nights it was always hate. It was so cold, and his small size made it even worse. The only thing that helped him survive was Ela and her always putting the kittens first.

It was one of those horrible nights when Niah’a’s mom did not come back, long after the other kids had gone home. Ela waited with him of course, but her mother was nowhere to be seen either, or he would have gotten to go with them to find a place to sleep. He could not decide if he was miserable or happy, since of all the people he knew; only Ela and the other kids cared about him. But Ela was significant because she was... well, Ela.

She was just special to him, like... moonlight on a dark night, where the stars sparkled; or like Yule time, when the rich felt bad or wanted attention, and the kids got some sorts of gifts. She never failed to make him smile no matter how bad he fell on his face, even if he
