Research Report: Electricity and Gravity, Tornadoes and Hurricanes, Other Phenomena
()
About this ebook
This report shows the relationship of electrical and gravitation forces.
This report shows that gravitation is due to a residual positive charge on all atoms; further that space/ether (Space as defined by Einstein and Ether as defined by Ronald Hatch in his modified ether theory are equivalent.) is curved by the electrical field. (Waves are created in space/ether by electrical force as in the generation of electromagnetic waves such as radio transmissions.) The curvature/divergence of space/ether due to the presence of the residual positive charge on molecules and atoms is thus mechanism of gravitation.
From this data it is seen that there is an thus a gravitational attraction between positive charges. This attraction is the force that holds atoms and molecules together and is the force of gravitation.
This gravitational force accounts for the binding force that holds together matter in it's various forms. The van der Waals force is the gravitational force between gas molecule; it is the binding force between the molecules in liquid, solid and gaseous forms of matter. This accounts for the smaller size of positively charged atoms, cations.
It is shown that matter is positively ionized by heat and/or vibration. Thus the electrical forces involved in storms are shown to be generated by the positive ionization and deionization of water vapor. This is supported by observations and cited research relating to thunderstorms, tornadoes and hurricanes, The force of the winds in storms; thunderstorms, tornadoes and hurricanes is created by the positive ionization of water. This positive ionization of water vapor creates and electrical/gravitational force the is responsible for the extreme winds of these storms.
This simplifies many aspects of chemistry and physics. This correlates with data from combustion, welding, melting and casting of metals, heat treating of metals, molecular bonding, radioactivity of materials such as radium and uranium, and gravitation.

Victor W. Hatch Resident of Vancouver Washington Inventor; Engineer; Musician; Researcher Self-employed engineer and consultant for over 30 years. Primarily analog and power electronics design. PE License in 1983. Member IEEE ( Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.) Grew up in NW Oklahoma and SW Kansas. Four years in US Air Force. I've always been curious about how things work. Correspondence course in electronics 1949. Radar and gun-laying--gun turret tracking using radar in the USAF, 1950-53. Further training at Boeing. Into industrial power electronics as technician and then design for physics research, 2000 to 500 thousand watts. Studied to learn to use transistors, and silicon controlled rectifiers instead of tubes. Worked for about 13 years designing high power induction heating power supplies, 2000 watt to 800 thousand watts. Took tests and got Professional Engineer License in 1983. Worked as engineer and consultant since then. Visited many factories , providing training, design and repair service. This included foundries, forging plants and heat treating equipment. It is my curiosity about how thing work that lead me into investigating the cause of tornadoes. Solving that also showed the cause of hurricanes. This lead to the resolution of gravity--the fact that it is not a separate force from electricity eliminates the presently existing fantasies of gravity. This illustrated some basic errors in chemistry and physics, simplifying and explaining much phenomena.

Introduction
This report covers research that was initially about the physical phenomena of tornadoes and the genesis of tornadoes.
The resolution of data regarding tornadoes and the cause of the extremely high updraft winds led to the revised concepts of electrostatics and ionization of water. The extremely high positive voltages reported by NOOA¹¹,¹²,¹³ associated with tornadoes connected to the data that positively ionized atoms were smaller than neutral atoms¹ resolved to be the only possible source of the low pressure at the base of the clouds during tornadoes. Dr. Vonnegut¹⁰ pointed out that the source of the low pressure could not be accounted for by thermal means, and suggested the source must be electrical. Only attraction between positive ions could account for the mass of positive charge at the base of the clouds during a tornado. This attraction and the reduction in size of the positively charged molecules¹ could produce the low pressure. The mass of positively charged vapor at the base of the clouds brought about the realization that positively ionized water vapor was being produced. This study then brought about the new concepts that are at odds with some of the accepted laws of physics and chemistry, yet at the same time provides simplification:
1st is the law that like charges repel and unlike charges repel does not agree with data from research and experimentation. The new concept is that positive charge is attracted to positive charge; that charges at different potentials are attracted. This is addressed in Chapter I Electrostatics
, and is further addressed in Chapter II Ionization of Gasses and Matter; Chapter V
Combustion, Atoms and Electric Charge; Chapter VIII
Electricity and Tornadoes, The van der Waals force of attraction between molecules is thus the attraction between the positive nuclei of atoms. This accounts for the reduction in size of positively ionized atoms¹. This fits with generation of the extremely high winds of tornadoes which are associated with very high positive voltages (Positive cloud to ground lightning associated with tornadoes per NOOA¹¹,¹².). By restating the
laws" of electrostatics a basis for the van der Waals force, and the reduction in size of cations is provided.
2nd is the ionization by heat and agitation of gasses and matter. This is similar to the photoelectric effect described by Einstein. This is described in Chapter II Ionization of Gasses and Matter
, wherein experiments illustrate the positive ionization of water vapor and the attraction between the positively charged vapor and materials. Added data is provided in Chapter V about combustion (Fuel is positively ionized by heat and thus produces attraction between the fuel and oxidizer.); Tornadoes (Dr. Vonnegut¹⁰,¹⁵ shows the association of electricity and tornadoes; and further describes how water droplets do not form in supersaturated air until a lightning strike occurs.); Report of cloud seeding with negative ions producing rain in the United Arab Emirates⁵; Duncan Blanchards report³ Electrically Charged Drops From Bubbles in Sea Water and their Meteorological Signifinance
. This is further supported by the positive ionization of matter by an electron beam in doing spectrum analysis of materials³. Experiments by Rojin Anbaraafshan, Hossein Azizaghsh, and Reza Montazer Namini⁹ show that flames are positively ionized and thus defected by a high voltage field; this confirms that the heat of combustion produces positive ionization of gasses.
3rd is the concept that there is a residual positive charge on all atoms and molecules. This together with
