"A Season for Love" is a Christmas or holiday themed Silhouette Desire romance novel. This book was published in 2000 and has 185 pages, written by BJ James. This book is a contemporary romance but could also fall into the "romantic suspense" genre.Set in a small southern town, Jericho and Maria grew up together. However, he was from the wealthy, cultured side of town while Maria was not. But, they remained friends and as they grew up they fell in love. Then a tradgedy struck and Maria ran away. After being gone for eighteen years, Maria a sucessful career woman, returns home to cover a story. She finds out quickly that she is still not welcome there when her car is bombed. She also finds out the she and Jericho still have a bond together. This was a nice quick little holiday read. A few things are bit ridiculous. I find it really hard to believe that these two people stayed apart for eighteen years and neither one of them had a relationship or even so much as a fling with anyone else. Perhaps if the author had shortened their separation a little it would have been more plausible.I did like the fact that Maria found peace finally in her hometown. She was able to come to terms with what happened all those years ago and to forgive.Overall a C
