About this ebook
The truth about Kate
Kate Winthrop's sizable inheritance was stolen by her ex–husband. So she does what any wronged woman would she gets even. When she breaks in to his empty house, she stumbles onto a large sum of her money. She takes it and boards a boat destined for the Caribbean. All Kate wants is a place to hide. She doesn't expect the other passengers to become friends, and she certainly doesn't expect to fall in love with the ship's captain, Cole Hunter.
Although Cole seems to return her feelings, he has a tough time trusting, since he's also been betrayed by an ex. But secrets can be hard to hide, and they could ruin everything between Cole and Kate.
Inglath Cooper
Inglath Cooper fell in love with books as soon as she learned how to read. "When I was a little girl, we had a black-and-white TV with rabbit ears. Needless to say, it didn't pick up a lot! I spent a good deal of time with my nose in a book. I think I read most of the books in my elementary school library," she says. That love for books translated into a natural love for writing and a desire to create stories that other readers could get lost in, just as she had gotten lost in her favorite books. Inglath says that love for reading is something she hopes to pass on to her three daughters. "There's just nothing like that one-on-one experience with a good story. My girls love to be read to, and it's something I intend to nurture in them." Inglath lives on a farm in Virginia with her family. They are a family of threes: three children, three dogs, three horses, three cats. "And two parents who wear a lot of hats," she says. Living in the same county where she grew up, Inglath draws on her small-town background for her books. "There's something about small-town life that's just part of who I am. I've had the desire to live in other places, wondered what it would be like to be a true Manhattanite, but the thing I know I would miss is the familiarity of faces everywhere I go. There's a lot to be said for going in the grocery store and seeing ten people you know!" Inglath loves to spend time outdoors. Her hobbies include running and horseback riding around her beautiful Virginia farm.

Reviews for A Woman With Secrets
4 ratings1 review
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5When Kate Winthrop's ex-husband steals her inheritance, she seeks revenge by stealing the money back. She then boards a boat to the Caribbean hoping to get away until things cool down. A bit self-centered, she doesn't expect to become friendly with the people on board ship, especially Margo Sheldon. Nor does she expect to start falling in love with ship captain Cole Hunter. But Cole comes with baggage of his own as his ex-wife has hurt him. Will Kate and Cole find true love or will their romance run aground? "A Woman with Secrets" is a good romance novel that will hook readers from the very first page. There are actually two fully developed romances in the book - the one between Kate and Cole and the other between Margo and Harry Smith. Kate and Cole's story is the main one and it's a good one - Kate is a feisty heroine, a rich woman who has lost all her money and is starting to realize how shallow her life is. When the book begins you wonder how you can like a woman who is committing a robbery, but she is an easy person to like. Cole's story is heartbreaking as he is searching for what was taken away from him. Reading the book you know there will be a confrontation when Cole inevitably finds out Kate's secrets and you cross your fingers that the two will let true love win in the end. As engrossing as the Kate and Cole romance is, I actually liked the Margo - Harry romance better and wish that author Ingrath Cooper had given them their own novel. While the title "A Woman with Secrets" refers to Kate, it could also refer to Margo who has a devastating secret from her childhood that could ruin any chance of happiness with Harry. Harry has a habit of going from woman to woman without making a commitment and it's fun to read as he realizes he is falling for Margo. Margo's life story is so interesting that it's a shame she is a secondary character in this book. "A Woman with Secrets" is a fun romance novel that is hard to put down.
