I only have myself to blame that I picked up A Christmas Wedding Wager by Michelle Styles, and again, only myself to blame for continuing to read through to the end. I was hoping for a light, festive read set in Victorian times, but this book never really explored that aspect. Starting our as a story of a romance rekindled after interfering parties separated them seven years ago, the author went over the top by including a dastardly villain and a ridiculous kidnapping plot. The best part of this book was when I could finally close it and breath a sigh of relief that I had finished it.A generous 1 star is awarded as the cover has a horse drawn sleigh on it.
