About this ebook
On a blistering summer day, a bank robbery goes wrong, resulting in the deaths of all the hostages except Treva Williams. Pittsburgh psychologist and trauma expert Daniel Rinaldi is called in by the police to treat Treva. Soon an unforeseen series of events plunges the investigating officers, Sergeant Harry Polk, Detective Eleanor Lowrey, and Rinaldi into a vortex of mistaken identity, kidnapping, and surprising revelations about District Attorney Leland Sinclair's gubernatorial campaign. Is Sinclair somehow involved in the bank case?
Rinaldi's attention is diverted by the suicide of a young patient and his growing attraction to Eleanor, as the recently-divorced Harry Polk spirals into an alcohol-driven, self-destructive free-fall. Then sudden death threats against Sinclair fuel a new frenzy of accusations and political maneuvering, and Rinaldi begins to make connections. Soon, what he knows - or thinks he knows - will pull him toward a shocking and possibly lethal confrontation.

Reviews for Fever Dream
4 ratings2 reviews
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5If the first book in this series was groundbreaking than this one is just amazing. Dr. Daniel Rinaldi is a psychologist who works as a consultant to the Pittsburgh Police department. When a bank robbery goes bad Dan is called in to deal with the only surviving witness, Treva. Having dealt with survivors guilt himself Dan is able to understand exactly what she is going through.
When the bank robbers get free and start on a killing spree, Dan gets caught up in all the action and in the end is able to help the Police solve the murders.
Palumbo is a psychotherapist and a former Hollywood scriptwriter so is able to make his settings very real and knows how to make the pace of the book just race along.
I'm looking forward to more in this series. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Good read
Hope this author keeps writing and each book brings the core characters from this book into the sharper focus for readers making them fictional companions that are similar to those in other mystery book series . His next novel is published hope this is what happens. Sadly a few of the authors that have written a series of books at one time each new one was awaited with anticipation like a visit with a friend have now become like seeing a relative that's a shut in their conversations are dull and repetitive, making me hope for a new writer to introduce me to new "friends".
