Things Every Goddess Should Know . . .
1. You don't have to be perfect to be a goddess. The goddesses in mythology were usually pretty messed up in many ways. Being a goddess is about finding your potential; not being perfect.
2. A birthday is an accomplishment, not an insult. A lot of people don't get to have them anymore. Celebrate it. Eat cake. Do something fun.
3. Things often go right. The world is full of trouble. You can always find something that has gone wrong. Every day something goes right. If watching the news fills you with negative thoughts, then read the headlines online instead.
4. Always look for the beauty around you. When you meet someone, find what is beautiful about them. It could be their accent, their eyes, the way they gesture. There is something there to find. Everyone has a sunset; find their colors.
5. Karma will return to you what you put out in the world. Remember the rule of three. What you put out will come back to you times three.
6. You should know when to live as though you will die tomorrow and when to live as though you will live forever. If you think you will live forever, you may never take the chance and follow your dream. If you think you will die tomorrow, you won't plan for your retirement or take that training class to improve your skills.
7. You should know something worth singing about. There is some thing that makes you happy enough to sing. Find it.
8. Trust but verify. It is good to believe in things. It is important to avoid blindly agreeing with whatever you are told. Check things out. Do your research.
9. You can make a difference. You can help someone directly in small ways such as giving a homeless person a dollar or making some one smile when they are sad. You can give money to charity or volunteer your time.
10. Not everyone is going to like you. Sometimes it will have nothing to do with who you are. Try to forget them and move on. It does not change who you are inside. I was once hated on sight because I looked like the young woman who had stole the other woman's husband. I did not find out why she hated me for months.
11. Life is short whether you live for a few years or a hundred. There will always be things you look back on and wish you had done or not done. Try to minimize them.
12. Live the life you want to build. If you want to be an artist, then take time to work on your craft. If you want to be more fit, workout a little every day. Small steps lead to big ones.
13. He doesn't always have to be the one who drives. Maybe he prefers to drive or you don't like to drive. Maybe it is habit. Shake it up sometimes.
14. Never use your phone during a movie. The people sitting behind you do see your little screen light up and it is distracting. If you want to use your phone, wait until the movie is over. You can also wait and rent or borrow the movie when it hits DVD or streaming.
15. You should learn to drive and keep an active driver's license even if you don't own a car. You never know when you might need to step in and drive in an emergency. It also allows you the freedom of renting a car sometimes. Also a driver's license is still considered the best form of identification.
16. Never litter. The world is neither your trash can nor your ashtray.
17. Never park in a handicapped
