- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Romance set against the Revolutionary War capture of Vincennes (Indiana) by British troops and their subsequent defeat by George Rogers Clark's army. The romance is mildly tedious and there are a few silly plot elements, but mostly it holds up as historical novel.
