SUnder Cold Stone is the latest in the Constable Molly Smith series. The series is consistently well-written, the characters are quirky yet real, the mysteries are intriguing. Lucky, who is Molly's mom and a long time activist and environmentalist, and the Police Chief (Molly's boss) are off to Banff for a romantic vacation. Romance quickly is forgotten when the chief's son is suspected of murder. Molly, eager to abandon the turkey with all the trimmings she planned to make for Thanksgiving, is off to help find Matt and hopefully prove him innocent. If you are a fan of cozy mysteries, be sure to read this newest entry in the Constable Molly Smith series.

When Paul Keller's son Matt seems a likely suspect in the homicide of his roommate, Constable Molly Smith drives to Banff to see how she can help her mom and her boss who are vacationing there. We meet a host of characters connected with Matt's life in the resort town. Meanwhile back in Trafalgar, Sgt. Winters and RCMP Adam Tocek are monitoring a potential situation between developers and environmentalists with the Grizzly Resort. While I enjoyed this installment, I was sad so much of it occurred away from Trafalgar.
